Selectmen Agenda: FY13 Budget Reviews and Medfield’s Water Quality

The Medfield Board of Selectmen meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen are expected to meet with the Medfield Police and Fire Chiefs to discuss the public safety budgets for fiscal year 2013.

Chief William Kingsbury is expected to discuss the fire department’s proposed FY13 budget with the selectmen at 7 p.m. as part of the review process and Chief Robert E. Meaney Jr. will discuss the police budget after Kingsbury.

At its Jan. 3 meeting, the selectmen agreed to request attendance by the town’s Board of Water and Sewerage as well as Superintendent of Public Works Ken Feeney to discuss the quality of water in town. In addition to the that have become a monthly advisory, residents have been complaining of their tap water tasting and smelling like chlorine. The selectmen are expected to address these issues and concerns with Feeney and the Water and Sewerage Board.

The Lyme Disease Study Committee will meet with the selectmen to update the board on the committee’s activities now that its .

The selectmen are also expected to sign the Warrant for the Presidential Primary to be held on Tuesday, March 6 and accept a letter of resignation from Frederick Rogers, a member of the Americans with Disabilities Compliance Review Committee.
