Proposed Plan Calls for Retail, Apartments Across from Former Lord's in Medfield

The former Master's Touch building would comprise retail on the first floor.

A newly-proposed plan is calling for the redevelopment of the building across from the former Lord's in downtown Medfield.

The building was previously occupied by Wills Hardware and, more recently, Master's Touch, which relocated to Holliston late last year.

Local resident Dave MacCready recently purchased the building for $765,000, and proposed a concept plan to the Medfield Board of Selectmen for the creation of four retail stores on the first floor of the building and three apartments on the third floor, according to Medfeidl Selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson's Medfield02052 blog

The plans indicate that zoning bylaws would require 51 spaces for the following uses, Peterson wrote:

  • 30 spaces for the retail portion
  • 15 spaces for the office portion
  • 6 spaces for the residential portion
