The Massachusetts State Legislature has put forth a plan to allow residents to redeem coupons when paying for prescription drugs, according to a report by the State House News Service

Since 1988, the report notes, rebates for health care have been illegal. But lawmakers are now interested in lowing costs at the pharmacy for their constituents.
