Peterson to Hold Monthly Office Hours on Friday

Selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson holds office hours on the first Friday of each month from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at The Center at Medfield.

Selectman Osler “Pete” Peterson will hold his monthly office hours on Friday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at The Center at Medfield.Peterson started these office hours a few months ago in an effort to make himself available to residents on a predictable basis, and the response has been good.“There has been more interest and demand than I anticipated,” said Peterson who says those attending mostly want to discuss topical issues.“I have been surprised that I have not had much free time, as there has been a steady stream of residents coming to talk.  I also learned that others from out of town also thought of it as a good idea, such as Representative Winslow, who asked if he could share the idea and time with me (he has however, become otherwise occupied, and has not been there) and Senator James Timilty's aide, Patrick Shield, who came by in person.  One active resident used it as an opportunity to run down a checklist of items about town affairs.”Anyone interested in discussing town issues should stop by the Center to see Peterson on the first Friday of each month. Residents can also visit his personal blog, Medfield02052, where he shares information he learns as a selectman. Regarding his office hours, Peterson said, “An added bonus for me has been to see The Center in operation as Roberta [Lynch, COA director] has the Council on Aging humming with activities and people, and the feel of The Center during the day is wonderful.”
