On the Agenda: Update on High School Principal Search at Monday's School Committee Meeting

Here's a preview of what is expected to be discussed at Monday's School Committee meeting.

The Medfield School Committee will hold its first meeting of April Monday night in the high school TV production classroom at 7:30.

Among the topics expected to be discussed by the committee are:

  • An update on the high school principal search. Superintendent of Schools, Bob Maguire, told the committee at its previous meeting that had emerged from the search committee's efforts and he had begun the process and interviewing each candidate and taking the necessary steps to find the next principal at Medfield High School.
  • There will be an update as the committee continues to discuss ways to make the proposed budget figure work without making to its school programs.
  • There will be an FY11 budget update.
  • The High School Student Advisory Council will provide an update on the four classes at MHS (freshman, sophomore, junior and senior) and update the committee on what is going on at the high school.

The school committee meetings are open to the public and there is an item on the agenda each week that calls for public participation if any residents have something they would like to discuss with the committee.
