On the Agenda: School Committee to Discuss Budget Updates, H.S. Principal Search and Veterans Plaque

Members of the Medfield School Committee are expected to hear and discuss updates on several issues that have been the topics of previous meetings. 

The first item on tonight's agenda is the . Superintendent Bob Maguire has been very active and dedicated in his pursuit of increasing the school's budget in 2012 by $1,123,774 or 4.26 percent over the current budget. One of the driving forces behind the increase is making the necessary improvements to technology equipment being used in the town's schools. Maguire has said that technology upgrades have been deferred for the last three years and now is the time to address it.

Coinciding with the FY12 budget update will be an update on technology being used in the schools and how it can further facilitate learning in the classrooms.

• FY11 Budget Update.
• Medfield High School's is underway and an update on the search committee will likely be discussed. 
• An update on the outside the gym at Memorial School.
• Medfield High School boys' lacrosse planning out-of-state trip.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be a portion of the meeting open for public participation shortly after 8:40 p.m.
