On the Agenda: Medfield Board of Selectmen to Vote on Increase of Cost for Transfer Station Stickers

Lyme disease issue in Medfield, FY12 budget reviews and Medfield State Hospital status update also to be discussed at tonight's meeting.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen are expected to vote on the Solid Waste Study Committee's request to increase Transfer Station stickers to $50 for the first vehicle and $25 for the second. This is an increase from the current $40 for first vehicles and $20 for second. 

The Solid Waste Committee voted unanimously on Feb. 1 to recommend this increase to the Board of Selectmen, according to a letter sent by Highway Superintendent Ken Feeney. 

Tonight's meeting will open with Chris Kaldy, Lyme Disease Study Committee Chair presenting the committee's recommendations to address the town's . The BOS will review the FY12 budgets of the and veterans' service.

There will also be discussion of the Norfolk County Retirement System Appropriation for FY11 to FY12; permits and licenses request from the Theatre Society to place signs around town announcing its show, "Once Upon a Mattress" and there will be a status update on the former site. 

Tonight's meeting begins at 7 p.m. on the second floor in and is open to the public.
