On the Agenda: Medfield Board of Selectmen to Discuss DPW Budget, Alcohol License at Medfield Commons

An overview of what is expected to be discussed at tonight's Board of Selectmen meeting.

Tonight's Medfield Board of Selectmen meeting will be held in the Chenery Meeting Room on the second floor of at 7 p.m.

The Selectmen are expected to hear a request for an application for a Wine & Malt License from John Carrigg, manager of Car Wash, on 270 Main St. followed by the FY12 budget review of the DPW. 

The BOS will also hear the requests of two residents. David Stephenson of Stephenson Strategies will discuss a new iPhone and Android "app" that enables users to tag historic buildings. Megan McAvoy will also be requesting permission to hold a 5k/Kid's Fun Run in May.

Selectmen will also be voting on the following issues:

  • Appoint Wendy Jackson as Associate Member of Board of Health, requested by Board of Health. 
  • Zullo Gallery request one-day wine and malt permit for Saturday, March 5, 7 p.m. to 12 am.
  • Memorial and Wheelock schools CSA request to place signs announcing Annual Winter Carnival that will be held Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Memorial School.
  • Medfield Fitness Association requests a wine and malt permit for its March 5 event at the Pfaff Center, 5 to 11 p.m. 

There will be an update on the status of the former Medfield State Hospital site and the meeting will conclude with a report of around town from the Selectmen.
