Norfolk DA's Office Shows Solidarity With Slain Prosecutors

Officials in district attorney offices around the country are showing support for slain Texas prosecutors with black ribbons today.

Black ribbons were donned yesterday, and are being worn again today, by the staff of Norfolk District Attorney’s Office as they joined prosecutors in Massachusetts and across the country in signifying their solidarity and compassion for prosecutors who have recently been killed in Texas.

"It is a silent gesture of support for everyone in the Kaufman County, TX, District Attorney’s Office," according to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office Facebook page.

Two Texas prosecutors have been killed in the last two months, prompting security to be tightened for district attorneys in Texas, according to the Huffington Post. One of those district attorneys was shot 20 times in his home, according to the Huffington Post.
