Roughly 17 percent of the town's registered voters made it out to the polls Tuesday and while Town Clerk Carol Mayer was surprised the turnout wasn't larger, she was pleased with the voters who took time to exercise their right.

"I thought [turnout] would be bigger with the race between Romney and Santorum," Mayer said. "But I'm happy with the turnout."
