Medfield Receives $50K to Fund Energy Manager Position

The funding is for the role to begin July 1 of this year.

The town of Medfield has received a grant of $50,000 to fund a full-time Energy Manager for the town starting on July 1, Medfield Selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson said Tuesday

The Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Green Communities Division awarded the grant, and the funding is provided for one year, with a second year of funding contingent upon performance in the first year, according to Peterson's Medfield02052 blog.

The second year of grant funding is available to the town at a reduced level; officials need to take over the full payment of the energy manager according to the post.
