Joe Kennedy III Goes Door-to-Door in Medfield

Candidate for Congress Joe Kennedy III was in Medfield Sunday for a canvassing kick-off on Orchard Street. He then went door-to-door in the downtown area.

Joseph P. Kennedy III was in Medfield on Sunday to "Get Out the Vote."

Kennedy is running for the Fourth Congressional District seat to be vacated by Rep. Barney Frank.   

Kennedy kicked off a canvassing party at the Orchard Street home of Cheryl Dunlea and then went door-to-door in downtown Medfield urging people to vote in Thursday's primary.

Selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson accompanied Kennedy as he knocked on doors of Democrats and Independents on Miller, Oak, Pleasant and Curve Streets.

Residents told Kennedy they were concerned about Medicare and protecting small business, among other issues.

Everyone he met (including one self-proclaimed anarchist) wished him luck in the race. 

Kennedy will next be in Medfield for Medfield Day, Sept. 15.
