Important Information About Medfield's Local Election

Learn more about the town's election, scheduled for March 26 and get involved at the polls or on the ballot.

Medfield’s local election for town officers is scheduled for March 26 at the Center at Medfield on Ice House Road and there are several positions up for re-election.

Medfield Town Clerk Carol Mayer said the town moderator, town clerk, selectmen, assessors, school committee, library trustees, planning board, park commissioner, housing authority and trust fund commissioner are all positions up for re-election and open to nominations.

If you or someone you know is interested in one of the above town positions, nomination papers are available in Medfield’s . The last day to pick up and turn in papers for certification of signatures is Feb. 7, according to Mayer.

Important Voter Registration Notice

Mayer also wanted to remind residents that registering to vote and/or request to change party affiliation cannot be processed on the Census form. Voter registration and enrollment change forms are available at Town Hall in the town clerk’s office.

With 2012 being a presidential election year, and an important one at that, the town hopes for an increase in voter turnout. At Last year’s Town Election, only 808 of a population of 12,000-plus made it to the polls.
