Because I need a job.

I’m only being a little facetious. Since I stopped teaching at Salem State College in 2009, I’ve been unemployed or underemployed two-thirds of the time.

Put another way, I haven’t been able to provide for my family for half the time my five-year-old boys have been on this Earth.

Thankfully, we’ve gotten a lot of help from family, friends, our community and the state. For that help, I am extremely grateful.

Now I’d like to give something back, as your trusted servant in the U.S. Senate

According to his blog, Rhyne will not take monetary contributions, but if people want to help him win "in a non-financial way," they can:

• write in BRETT M. RHYNE, 135 GOULD ST., NEEDHAM HEIGHTS in the appropriate place on the ballot in the Democratic primary (April 30) and the general election (June 4);

• share the link to [his] blog and the Facebook group Rhyne4Senate;

• volunteer your time with the campaign or provide some sort of in-kind, non-financial support. Ironically, this cyber-campaign needs help generating printed materials. Go figure.  Taken from Rhyne4Senate.com
