Agenda: Medfield Selectmen to Discuss State Hospital, Transfer Station Issues

The Medfield Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday, July 5 at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall. The public is invited to attend.

It is a light agenda for the Medfield Board of Selectmen as it holds its first meeting of July Tuesday on the second floor of at 7 p.m.

The selectmen are expected to hear and discuss updates on the . The focus of this discussion will be on the news of selectman chair Osler “Pete” Peterson, town administrator Michael Sullivan and assistant town administrator Kristine Trierweiler meeting with DCAM commissioner Carole Cornelison and state secretary of administration and finance Jay Gonzalez on July 11. The parties will meet in Boston and Senator James Timilty and state representatives Dan Winslow and Denise Garlick have been notified of this meeting.

The selectmen will take action on Department of Public Works Superintendent Ken Feeney’s request to vote to sign Chapter 90 Environmental forms. The forms are regarding work proposed for Dale, Adams, Spring, West, High and South Sreets. The forms were executed at the selectmen’s June 21 meeting. The board is also expected to vote to approve the June 21 meeting minutes.

The Selectmen are expected to discuss appointing Cynthia Greene and Elisa Franco to the Town bylaw review committee; the Medfield Housing Authority Board vacancy and the Town Board/Committee appointments.

Among other topics expected to be discussed are transfer station issues in town, the Conservation Commission packet of information and the notification from Norfolk County Engineers that they have completed utility locations and layout on North Street.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Chenery Meeting Room on the second floor of Town Hall at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and is broadcasted on local cable access.
