Agenda: Medfield Selectmen Expected to Focus on State Hospital Site at Tuesday's Meeting

The Medfield Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday, July 19 at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall. The public is invited to attend.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen are expected to hear a report from selectman Osler “Pete” Peterson and Town Administrator Michael Sullivan regarding their meeting with DCAM Commissioner Carole Cornelison and Administration and Finance Secretary Jay Gonzalez about the .

Peterson shared his thoughts from the July 11 meeting with DCAM and state officials on , but will likely go into more detail, facilitating discussion among the selectmen and Sullivan. Peterson has also been active in collecting the .

The selectmen will also hear a report from last Thursday’s PIP meeting regarding the State Hospital and DCAM’s cleanup efforts.

Also on the agenda:

  • The Selectmen will review and vote to approve the following licenses and permits: Town Board and Committee appointments, Medfield Housing Authority Election to fill vacancy, request from Robert Borrelli to lease lot 3 on Ice House Road.
  • Vote to approve July 5 meeting minutes.
  • Ratify and sign police contract.
  • Discuss letter from Blanchard Warren regarding the Medfield Garden Club planting at Hartford and Main Streets.
  • Hear the request from Mary McCarthy to be appointed to vacancy on the Conservation Commission.
  • Acknowledge expression of interest from Ted Wolfstich in being appointed to Town Board of Committee.

The selectmen will conclude the meeting sharing their individual reports and other information during the informational portion of the meeting.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Chenery Meeting Room on the second floor of at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and is broadcasted on local cable public access.
