UPDATED: Two Men Injured in Sunday's Crash on Route 27 in Medfield Identified

Driver at fault cited with failure to stay within a marked lane and driving to endanger, according to Medfield Police.

The two male operators involved in Sunday's motor vehicle accident on Route 27 at North Meadows and Hospital Roads have been identified, according to Medfield Chief of Police Robert Meaney Jr.

"Operator Timothy Morgan is from Ashland and sustained head injuries," Meaney said. "Operator Thomas Murphy of Natick had lower leg injuries."

Meaney said Murphy's 2001 blue Ford Ranger crossed the center line on Route 27 and Hospital Road on Easter Sunday, colliding with Morgan's 2005 blue Subaru.

"Did not appear to be alcohol or cell phone related," Meaney said.  Murphy was cited with failure to stay within a marked lane and driving to endanger.

The accident was called into Medfield Police at 4:56 p.m. Sunday, according to police reports. Officer Michelle Bento requested Sherborn Police to turn southbound traffic on Route 27 down Route 115 into Millis and a Sherborn Ambulance responded to the scene. Medfield Fire Chief William Kingsbury requested Boston Medflight on scene but later cancelled that request.

Kingsbury notified Walpole paramedics, who arrived to the scene at 5:18 p.m. and Meaney was called to the scene at 5:08 p.m. 

Meaney said one male operator (Morgan) was taken to Boston Hospital and the other (Murphy) taken to Norwood Hospital.
