Here is a look at the Medfield police logs for Dec. 11 and Dec. 12.
 
Wednesday, Dec. 11

1:23 a.m., West Street. Police report the railroad crossing lights are on but there is no train. CSX was called and they fixed the lights at 3:14 a.m.

11:40 a.m., Upham Road and Main Street. Police noticed the stop sign is down at this intersection. DPW was notified.

12:36 p.m., Green Street. Caller asked to speak to an officer about a letter she received in the mail. All is okay at this time. 

1:18 p.m., Stagecoach Road. Caller said her large black and brown dog, a coonhound, is missing. At 1:22 p.m., a Lakewood Drive resident said the dog was in her back yard and walking away. At 1:24 p.m., a caller said the down was now in the Granite Street and Oriole Road area. At 2:07 p.m., the owner had her dog back. 

4:39 p.m., Main Street. Car accident near convenience store involving a 2004 Subaru Legacy and a 2011 Honda Pilot. 

Thursday, Dec. 12

8:33 a.m., Millbrook Road. Caller asked police to keep an eye on speeding vehicles in the area and asked for the speed trailer to be set up. 

10:42 a.m., North Street. Montrose School called for the Fire Department about a strange smell on the second floor. All clear.

11:41 a.m., Wilkens Glen Road. Walk-in report of larceny from a resident who went to their mailbox and found a piece of mail was opened and gift cards were missing. 

11:43 a.m., Route 109. Westwood Police said they received a call about an erratic driver going west on High Street heading toward Medfield on Route 109. Could not find. 

12:26 p.m., mutual aid. Medfield Ambulance responded to Millis to take a patient to Norwood Hospital. 

5:55 p.m., station. Walk-in report from an Indian Hill resident regarding threats. 

9:52 p.m., Hartford Street. Caller reported a dead cat on Hartford Street near Main Street. Animal Control will be called in the morning.
