Sex Offender Arrested on Many Charges, Realtor Impersonator, Found Debit Card

Sunday, March 24

8:05 a.m., Spring Street. Medfield Ambulance at St. Edward's Church for a medical event.

9:43 a.m., Pound Street. Alarm company reported an alarm going off at Blake Middle School. Police discovered a teacher was in the school with permission but did not have the pass code.

10:19 a.m., 6:57 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.

12:38 p.m., Spring Street. Police request backup near St. Edward's Church for a car that almost caused an accident. The driver of the 2005 Toyota RAV4 gave his information as John Harrop, 15 Beacon Avenue, Norwood. Police arrested John Anthony Harrop, 28 of 210 South Street, Walpole, and charged him with:

  • Failure to Stop for Police
  • OUI drugs
  • Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Sex Offender Fail to Notify Change Address

12:52 p.m., Main Street. E911 caller said he was just in an accident with three vehicles. 

1:29 p.m., Main Street. Walk-in report of a woman claiming to be a real estate broker but when the reporter was in the other room, the unknown female left with a chest. After further investigation, police determined it was a misunderstanding and nothing was taken.  

3:14 p.m., Main Street. Walk-in report of a found debit card. 

6:52 p.m., Whichita Road. Caller reported an odor of gas near Shawnee and Delaware. Medfield Ambulance responded but found nothing in the area.

Monday, March 25

7:33 a.m., Pound Street. Caller said there was no crossing guard at Pound Street.

8:06 a.m., Causeway and Main Streets. E911 caller reported a car accident in the area. 

8:38 a.m., Nebo Street. Walk-in report of vandalism on Nebo Street.
