Running a Red Light, Troublesome Teens on Tracks, Bats, Deer and More

Here's a look at the Medfield police log for July 11 and July 12.

The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 11

12:04 p.m., Routes 109 and 27. E911 caller reported a box truck broken down in the turning lane. Police handled traffic, truck was towed.

1:43 p.m., Maplewood Road. E911 caller reported she was locked out of the house and her child is inside sleeping. Access gained. 

4:23 p.m., Curve Street. Police noticed and removed two teens (between the ages of 13 and 15) on the railroad tracks. 

5:12 p.m., North Street. Walk-in report of a problem with the way the pedestrian walk signal is facing on North and Main Streets. DPW will try to fix.

6:12 p.m., Indian Hill Road. E911 caller said she heard a loud noise in the basement and would like it checked out. 

9:54 p.m., Oriole Road. Caller said she heard gun shots in the area. Nothing found. 

10:51 p.m., Indian Hill Road. Caller said he had a bat in his house flying around. Animal Control responded.

10:54 p.m., Spring Street. Caller said a car hit a deer on Spring Street. The deer is in front of 153 Spring Street under a tarp. Animal Control picked up the deer. 

Friday, July 12

6 a.m., North Meadows Road. Caller said she picked up a puppy last night that was running in and out of traffic on Route 27.  She would like Animal Control to call her so she can drop it off. 

2:02 p.m., Spring Valley Road. Caller said a very large branch fell down and took a power line with it. The Tree Warden took care of the tree and NSTAR repaired the wire.

4:30 p.m., North Meadows Road and Dale Street. Police pulled over a car for no front license plate. Driver was issued a warning citation.

6:16 p.m., Green Street. Two young boys called to report a suspicious gray Toyota with two young women sitting in it parked in front of their house. Police spoke with the girls, the parents, and the boys and girls -- there was no problem. 

7:17 p.m., mutual aid. Medfield Ambulance provided mutual aid to Stoneybrook Road in Millis for a woman who had been vomiting for some time. She was taken to Leonard Morris Hospital. 

8:09 p.m., Main Street. Police pulled over a 2001 gray Toyota Tundra pickup in the convenience store parking lot. Police are seeking a summons for a 29-year-old man from Franklin for (1) failure to stop for a red light, (2) driving after revocation of registration, and (3) uninsured motor vehicle. 

11:35 p.m., Rhododendron Avenue. E911 caller reported a party in the area that has the street blocked and is noisy. Police removed all parties.
