Police logs: Vandalism to New Vehicle, Medical Transport and Motor Vehicle Crashes

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs from March 26-29.

Monday, March 26:

6:17 a.m. – Nurse from the Thomas Upham House called emergency 911 to report a 95-year-old female having chest pains. Patient was transported to LMH.

7:40 a.m. – Caller reported trash and boxes were in the road on West Street. Officer and Highway Department were notified. Officer reported the trash came from 93 West St.

8:43 a.m. – Officer reported he was on Elm Street doing radar and requested a tow truck after making a motor vehicle stop for speeding. A court summons was issued to a Milford resident on two charges: unlicensed operation of motor vehicle and speeding (33 mph in a 20 mph zone).

1:17 p.m. - Man called from Derby Lane to report a large tree taking about 90 percent of the road. Officer and Ed Hinkley responded. Tree was taken care of.

1:20 p.m. - Man called emergency 911 to report his son was on Causeway Street and sounded hurt. Officer reported no one was hurt but some equipment fell off his truck and he needed help getting back on the truck. At 1:59 p.m., officer reported a small oil spill and requested the Fire Department to come and put some speedy dry down.

4:49 p.m. - Man called from his cell phone to report a white dog running around the parking lot of Bullards Market on 77 North St. Animal Control returned the dog to its residence on North Street. The babysitter did not know the dog got out.

Tuesday, March 27:

5:05 a.m. - 911  caller reported her smoke alarm was going off at her home on Charlesdale Road. She reported there was no smoke or fire. First responders were notified and handled the situation.

7:16 a.m. - Woman from Wilkens Glen Road called emergency 911 to request the Medfield Police because someone reportedly cut all the tires on her  new vehicle. Officer spoke to the woman and looked at the damage to her new vehicle. He filed a report on the incident.

9:40 a.m. - Medfield Fire Department's desk officer received an outside fire alarm from Meadow View Apartments on Frairy Street. Medfield Fire Chief William Kingsbury reported the alarm was accidental and was set off by some men working there.

9:42 a.m. - A Medfield resident from Green Street called and requested to see an officer about a case of fraud – computer and money. Officer spoke with the resident and filed a report.

11:11 a.m. - Medfield Fire Department requested for mutual aid for a working fire on Walpole Street in Dover.

3:26 p.m. - Woman called from her cell phone to report she was in a motor vehicle crash at Adams and West Streets. She reported her air bags went off as well and didn't know if there were any injuries. EMT reported no transport was needed for either operator and scene was clear at 3:59 p.m.

5:30 p.m. - A Medfield resident from Park Street came into the station and spoke with Sergeant Daniel Burgess about a case of ID and insurance fraud.

8:58 p.m. - Medfield Police Department received a "Be On the Lookout" (BOLO) from Foxoborough Police for a hit and run motor vehicle out of Patriot Place. They were looking for a gray Dodge pickup truck with overhead spotlights on its roof with front-end damage. The accident was a hit and run – pedestrian vs. motor vehicle.

Wednesday, March 28:

11:41 a.m. - A Dover woman called and requested to speak with an officer about a silver diamond watch valued at $6,000 that she lost in the Shaw's parking lot Tuesday night. She called back at 12:44 p.m. to report she found her watch.

5:44 p.m. - Man called to report a motor vehicle crash in front of CVS. Two vehicles were in the parking lot and no injuries were reported. Sergeant Daniel Burgess requested speedy dry to the scene and Assured Collision towing for two motor vehicles.

Thursday, March 29:

7:39 a.m. - Officer reported he was out at Granite Street to serve an arrest warrant (medical issue) and transport the patient to Dedham District Court.

9:09 a.m. - Caller requested the ambulance for a student having emotional difficulties at Blake Middle School. Student was transported to Norwood Hospital.
