Highlights from police and fire logs.

Wednesday, March 2:

12:42 p.m. – Individual came into the station to speak to Sergeant Burton in regard to some fraud that happened overseas.

2:23 p.m. – Nancy Braverman was in the station with paperwork for the All-Night Graduation Party at the High School. She requested two detail officers for June 5 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. at the high school.

2:40 p.m. – Caller reported a strange smell in the area of 86 Adams St. Fire Department notified. Smell was reported to be from Sam White’s mulch pile.

3:41 p.m. – Caller reported low wires about 9 to 10 feet from the ground. Desk officer notified Verizon and repair section was notified.

5:32 p.m. – Man requested a well-being check on his son’s 24-year-old girlfriend at Saw Mill Lane. Officers Grover and Anderson responded to scene as woman “sounded suicidal” and the son did not answer his phone. Officers spoke to the woman and reported she was fine. Mother and sister of the woman were at the house.

9:20 p.m. – Fire Alarm sounded at Bullards Market on Green Street. Fire Department responded and reported scene was clear; there was a problem with the sprinkler system.

Thursday, March 3:

2:12 a.m. – 911 caller reported somebody was at his front door at Shawnee Road and was trying to get in. Caller reported subject drove away and that he got the plate number of the vehicle. Caller said it may be one of his son’s friends. Officers responded. One officer spoke to the caller and the other officer spoke to the driver of the car that was at the house. All was clear and a report was filed.

7:30 a.m. – Officer Christine DiNatale reported she was out on Knollwood Road doing radar citations.

7:31 a.m. – Woman from Hilltop Circle called from her cell phone to report she was broken down at the traffic lights at South and High Streets. Woman reported she believed she was out of gas. Officer Larz Anderson responded to scene and reported Assured Collision towing gave the woman some fuel and she was on her way.

8:08 a.m. – Desk officer received three phone calls about the traffic lights at Main and Spring Streets. Cars were backed up at the lights. Sergeant John Wilhelmi reported no problem with the traffic lights.

10:17 a.m. – Woman on Green Street called emergency 911 and requested an ambulance for her father to be transported to the hospital. Ambulance was enroute to Newton/Wellesley Hospital at 10:31 a.m.

3:16 p.m. – Caller on Granite Street reported a man just climbed the ladder to a roof and he does not know who the man is or what he is doing up there. Officer responded and reported the man was a contractor doing work. All clear. 

3:39 p.m. – Sergeant Burton reported he removed two youths from the rear of Anton Cleaners on Main Street.

4:11 p.m. – Woman from Brastow Drive came into the station to report her ex-boyfriend threatened to kill himself. Woman spoke to officer Michelle Bento and Sergeant Burgess. Officers attempted to locate subject via cell phone. Sergeant Burgess spoke to Braintree Police Department. Subject moved back to his parent’s home in Braintree. Boston Police Department was able to find the subject with assistance from the phone company. An incident report was filed.

9:24 p.m. – Caller at North Street reported an alarm going off in her house and was afraid to go and check. Officer responded and reported it was accidental.

Friday, March 4:

7:37 a.m. – Man at Stoneybrook Road called and requested an Animal Control officer because he had a squirrel in his house and he wanted it removed. Animal Control officer Jennifer Shaw removed the squirrel.

7:37 a.m. – Officer Stephen Grover reported he was out doing radar citations at Knollwood Road.

12:01 p.m. – All Medfield officers were notified of a bank robbery at Middlesex Savings Bank on Main Street. Teller called emergency 911 from Middlesex Savings Bank at 495 Main St. to report the bank was robbed by a white male; height 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10; weight 140 to 150 pounds. Appearance: Long brown hair tied in the back; Balck ball cap; moustache and goatee; gray shirt and jeans. The robber left the bank through the back door, leaving the area around the same time was a blue pickup truck. Unknown if it was used in the bank robbery. At 12:08 p.m. Medfield Police Chief Robert Meaney was notified and at 12:37 p.m. FBI Agent Rachel Boisselle of the Boston Bank Robbery Task Force was notified. Incident report was filed.

12:23 p.m.  – Alarm company reported a fire alarm at Briar Hill Road. Fire Chief William Kingsbury reported no fire.

3:16 p.m. – Officer Flaherty and Sergeant Burgess checked Middlesex Savings Bank as employees left.

3:53 p.m. – Individual came into the station to report her car was struck while she was in the store at Marshall’s parking lot. Officer Cave inspected the damage.

4:17 p.m. – Detective Geary was working on an investigation Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.

4:35 p.m. – Individual came into the station and spoke with Officer Grover regarding a problem she was having with her ex-husband. Officer Grover reported a restraining order was issued (209A). Incident report was also filed.

5 p.m. – CSX notified the lights were going off at the railroads tracks and nothing was on the tracks at West Street.

10:56 p.m. – Woman from Hickory Drive called emergency 911 to report her bathroom water would not shut off.

Saturday, March 5:

8:16 a.m. – Fire Department reported a caller reported water running down Allen Lane and may have been a break on Granite Street. Water Department notified.

8:31 a.m. – Fire alarm at the post office on North Street sounded. Fire Department reported problem with sprinkler system.

12:57 p.m. – Multiple calls regarding water off at Granite Street. Water Department working on break.

2:08 p.m. – 911 hang-up from residence on Indian Hill Road. Call back reported accidental. Officer checked residence and confirmed misdial.

9:07 p.m. – Woman at Wilkens Glen Road reported husband threw a glass of ice tea at her. Officer spoke with caller.

9:51 p.m. – Caller would not give her name but reported from Homestead Drive that a large group of kids on Homestead and Haven Drives. Sergeant responded and reported some cars parked but no kids and no noise.

Sunday, March 6:

6:28 a.m. – Caller from North Street called 911 to report his mother was breathing heavy and wanted an ambulance. Patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.

10:37 a.m. – 911 caller reported a group of boys on the roof at the Laundry on Upham Road. Officer reported no one was on the roof. Officers did speak to some boys who were in the area.

2:49 p.m. – Individual on Philip Street called to request an officer. Officer Wayne Sallale reported he was brining one back to the station to fill out some paperwork. Individual called 911 to report the subject was at her house at 5:17 p.m. Officer notified and called her back to get more information. She reported it was someone she knew. Officer O’Neil reported it was someone dropping off a dog.

10:26 p.m. – Individual from Frairy Street Apartments called emergency 911 to request an officer to speak about something strange going on in one of the apartments. Officer Sallale spoke to both parties on the matter and incident was resolved.

Monday, March 7:

5:53 a.m. – Caller reported a tree limb across the eastbound lane of Route 109 near Lovell’s Florist. Officer Cave was enroute and reported the lights at Shaw’s are both red and green simultaneously. Officer LaPlante was enroute to try and rest the lights. Officer Cave stood by until Ed Hinkley removed the limb.

6:00 a.m. – Enroute to another call, officer Cave reported lights at Route 109 eastbound at Shaw’s were red and green simultaneously. Officer Laplante attempted to reset the lights but was unable to do so. Lights were working except for arrow signal. Traffic system was notified.

6:44 a.m. – Caller reported a large branch was in the street between 58 and 60 Indian Hill Rd. Caller was unable to move branch. Ed Hinkley was notified.

9:09 a.m. – Male motorist called from his cell phone to report a possible water break in the road in the area of 230 South St. Edward Hinkley of Medfield Water Department was notified.

11 a.m. – Detective Geary reported there was a wire down at North Street and Janes Avenue. Sergeant Burton reported Fire Chief William Kingsbury cut the phone line. Desk officer notified Verizon about the wire being down.

3:56 p.m. – Female party called from Medfield Properties at 2-B North St. to report a smell of gas in the street and in front of her office. Medfield Fire Department was enroute.

5:04 p.m. – Female party called from the Medfield Veterinary Clinic on 51 Peter Kristoff Way to report an injured raccoon was by the West Street railroad crossing. Animal Control officer Danielle Landry checked the area but animal was gone on arrival.

7:30 p.m. – Female motorist called from her cell phone to report a car that was broken down on North Meadows Road and West Street. The car was broken down in the road and operator had AAA. Assured Collision towing was notified and enroute.

Tuesday, March 8:

1:13 a.m. – Officer LaPlante reported a water sprinkler broken at 51 Frairy St. The water was going into the street and freezing. Officer tried knocking on the door. Officer LaPlante reported he spoke to the home owner and found out it was not owner’s sprinkler but cellar was being pumped out.

7:33 a.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale reported he was out doing radar citations out at Knollwood Road.

8:17 a.m. – Woman from South Street called to request an Animal Control officer because she had an animal in her house that she wanted removed. The animal came in with her cat over night. Animal Control officer Jennifer Shaw removed a possum.

8:54 a.m. – Woman from South Street called to report a wire was down between 49 and 51 South St. It was hanging over the sidewalk. EMT reported no problem with the wire.

9 a.m. – Robert Kennedy Jr. of Medfield Highway Department called from his cell phone to report one of Tresca Brothers Sand and Gravel truck of 66 Main St. in Millis dumped some concrete in the road at the traffic lights in front of Shaw’s Market at 230 Main St.
