Police Logs, March 11-16

Highlights from police and fire logs.

Friday, March 11:

5:58 a.m. – ADT reported the alarm at Sunoco on Main Street was sounded. ADT spoke to a worker and cancelled the police call. Officer checked Sunoco and reported area was clear.

8:28 a.m. – Caller from Hilltop Circle called, requesting the ambulance for her father. Ambulance was enroute to Grover at 8:39 a.m.

9:05 a.m. – 911 hang up at Page Realty on Main Street. Dispatch called back and Page Realty reported no problem. Officer checked the business and reported call was accidental.

10 a.m. – Individual came into police station and spoke with officer Bento regarding a torn awning belonging to J. Stuart Salon. Awning was on the roof.

1:14 p.m. – Caller reported she was broken down on Main Street past the florist. Officer reported Assured Collision towing was on the scene and officer cleared the situation.

1:17 p.m. – Caller reported an alarm going off behind Wheelock School. It was a car alarm going off on Homestead.

2:08 p.m. – Officer Sallale reported he was on radar at Orchard Street.

3:46 p.m. – Officer James O’Neil reported he was out on a motor vehicle stop on West Street at the Charles River Bridge. Report was filed.

5:31 p.m. – Call of smoke in the area of 66 High St. came in and fire alarm was sounded. It turned out to be steam coming from the dryer vent. All units cleared.

6:59 p.m. – Sergeant Mick of Dover Police Department reported there was a call of a car all over the road on North Street heading towards Dover. The car turned down Farm Street. Car checked out to a resident at 34 Farm St. in Medfield. Officer checked area but car was gone on arrival.

8:53 p.m. – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of 12 Walden Court. Officer reported there were a few cars parked on the street with nobody in them.

9:28 p.m. – Officer was out on a motor vehicle stop on West and Bridge Streets. Officers cleared the incident.

Saturday, March 12:

5:49 a.m. – Officer reported alarm at Cumberland Farms and then reset. Officer spoke to worker on site and reported the worker was opening for the day.

9:25 a.m. – Mr. Morrison in the station to request more radar run on Orchard Street as “many speeders in the area.”

10:31 a.m. – Life Line requested an assist at Haven Road. Res. Officer reported it was accidental.

10:53 a.m. – Individual came into station to report someone took his mailbox. He believed there was a check in the box and had been receiving a check each Friday. Man spoke to officer James O’Neil.

11:03 a.m. – Caller requested ambulance for her mother at Hilltop Circle. Woman refused transport before changing her mind and was transported to Needham at 11:58 a.m.

3:16 p.m. – Cell phone caller reported a car parked down in the dirt pit behind the Wheelock School. A dirt bike was driving around the area. Officer reported these subjects would be leaving.

3:46 p.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale reported he was out on a motor vehicle stop on Route 27 at Papa Ginos on North Meadows Road. Summons was issued to individual from Framingham for operating a motor vehicle without a license and vehicle was towed.

4:38 p.m. – Cell phone caller reported kids were skate boarding on the war memorial at Baxter Park. Officers responded and kids were removed from the park.

5:19 p.m. – Individual came in to the station with a dog that was in her backyard of her North Street home. Dog had a 2011 dog tag. Dispatch notified Animal Control and officer would be enroute to the Animal Shelter to meet the woman who had the dog.

6:12 p.m. – Ambulance requested for individual at Snyder Road. Ambulance enroute to Needham.

6:43 p.m. – Officer was out at South Street and Snyder Road for radar.

7:16 p.m. – 911 caller reported she would like the police at her house as she was having trouble with her boyfriend. Officers responded and caller had left for the night. Report filed.

8:35 p.m. – Millis Police Department called and asked for Medfield to send an officer to residence on Vine Brook Road and have the homeowner call Millis Police. Medfield officer reported nobody was home.

9 p.m. – 911 caller reported they had an 80-year-old female who passed out. Ambulance notified and responded but no transport was necessary.

9:03 p.m. – Individual came into station to report a problem with her neighbor. Officer Daniel Pellegrini spoke with her. Officers arrived at 33 South St. at 9:34 p.m. to speak to other individual.

10:37 p.m. – Caller reported a loud party next to her house on Causeway Street. Residents at the house were advised to keep the noise down. All units were cleared.

Sunday, March 13:

9 a.m. – Caller reported a car parked at the end of Clayton and Hospital roads. Officer reported subject was using her cell phone and that she needed to make a call and would not drive and talk on the phone.

11:36 a.m.  – Unitarian Church Parishoner reported 11-year-old boy fell down the church stairs. Ambulance requested. Emergency alarm sounded for landing zone coverage at transfer station for Medflight.

11:53 a.m. – Westwood Police Department reported the move of the transformer will be staying in Dedham for the night.

12:45 p.m. – Officer reported there was a dog in the middle of the road on Route 109 near Shaw’s that will not get out of the roadway. Animal Control was notified.

12:59 p.m. – Officer was out on a motor vehicle stop at Route 109 at Bridge Street. Situation cleared.

1:04 p.m. – Received a 209A extension from Dedham District Court. Order expires March 9, 2012.

1:05 p.m. – Cell phone caller reported a male subject thumbing for a ride on Route 27 near the Walpole line. Officers notified. Officer reported he would be transporting man to the center of town and dropped him off at CVS.

1:26 p.m. – Caller reported she wanted a police officer at her house because she wanted her husband to leave. Woman would be filling out a 209-A and at 3:55 p.m., officer Wayne Sallale served the husband with the 209-A in hand at the station.

2:09 p.m. – Caller from Frairy Street reported they had not seen their neighbor and requested a well-being check. The individual in question’s son was trying to see him but nobody came to the door. Officers checked the location and reported the individual in question was fine and was with the neighbor.

5:35 p.m. – Individual was into the station to report his car was hit in the Shaw’s lot around March 1 and he wanted it logged for his insurance company. He had no idea who hit him and he took a crash report to fill out.

Monday, March 14:

12:35 a.m. – Sergeant Burgess reported the state hospital security vehicle broke down on Hospital Road at the railroad crossing.

1:38 a.m. – Woman from the Thomas Upham House called to report a 94-year-0ld woman was having trouble breathing. Officer and Westwood medic notified. Ambulance transported woman to Norwood Hospital.

11:16 a.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale was out on a motor vehicle stop on North Street and issued a citation.

12:39 p.m. – Caller reported from Granite Street he had a stray dog. Animal Control notified. Caller reported he found the dog’s owner but would still like to speak to Animal Control.

2:14 p.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale was out on a motor vehicle stop and officer reported he had driver’s parents call him at the station.

5:10 p.m. – Unknown male motorist called from his cell phone to report a large white car, maybe a Toyota, driving fast on Hospital Road coming onto Route 27. Caller’s cell phone was breaking up but the car took a right onto Route 27 and then the phone line cut out. Desk officer notified Sherborn Police to “keep an eye out.”

5:43 p.m. – EMT Monahan called in a possible fire at 11 Cedar Ln. Medfield Fire called back to report no fire.

8:33 p.m. – Desk officer from Newton Police Department called and requested one of Medfield’s officers go over and ask for a Howard Thurston of 91 Pleasant St. to give Newton Police a call because there was a problem at the hardware store in Newton that Thurston owns. Officer Stephen Grover spoke with Thurston and he said he would call Newton Police ASAP.

10:49 p.m. – Individual from Marlyn Road called to report his wife needed an ambulance because her blood pressure was low. Ambulance transported patient to Natick.

11:10 p.m. – John Thompson of 406 Main St. called to report a motor vehicle accident in front of his house. Officer Daniel Pellegrini requested an ambulance, Millis was notified. Sergeant Burgess requested Assured Collision towing. Millis Ambulance responded but patient refused transport.

Tuesday, March 15:

10:07 a.m. – Sergeant Wilhelmi conducted radar on Orchard Street and issued zero citations.

11:46 a.m. – EMT Bennotti reported they were enroute to the area of 10 Indian Hill Rd. for a smell of gas. EMT Bennotti reported area was checked with no luck of any gas smell.

12:05 p.m. – Carla Moore of 260 North St. called and requested to see the Animal Control officer. Moore had what she thought was a sick raccoon in her backyard and wanted it removed. Animal Control could not locate the raccoon.

1:13 p.m. – Received from Dedham District Court a 209A extension. Order expires March, 13, 2012.

1:19 p.m. – Received from Dedham District Court a 209A. Order expires March 21, 2011. Order was placed into file.

2:14 p.m. – Fire Alarm for Wilkens Glen Building #3 came into station. EMT Bennotti reported it was accidental.

5:10 p.m. – 911 hang up at Snow Hill Lane. Officer called back and got answering machine. Officer reported it was accidental.

5:42 p.m. – Caller reported he had a stray dog. Animal Control officer notified. Dog returned to owner.

6:17 p.m. – Caller requested Animal Control to Richard Road because they have an animal in the chimney.

6:48 p.m. – Fire Department reported they were enroute to the Thomas Upham House. Westwood paramedics were also notified and would respond. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital.

8:13 p.m. – Officer O’Neil was out on a motor vehicle stop on South Street and issued a written warning.

Wednesday, March 16:

12:15 a.m. – Officer Pellegrini issued one citation while on radar at North Street and Deerfield Road.

7:43 a.m. – Officer Grover reported he was out doing radar on Knollwood Road.

9:04 a.m. – Desk officer received an emergency 911 hang up call from Robert J Tuckett of 114 Philip St. Desk Officer called back with no luck. Officer Larz Anderson reported no one was home and house was secure.

9:20 a.m. – Unknown female caller called emergency 911 from Curve Street to request an ambulance for her mother who was having CHS. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.
