Police Logs, Jan. 29-31

Highlights from police and fire logs.

Saturday, Jan. 29:

3:42 a.m. – 911 requested ambulance at Summer Street for a person who fell. Individual was transported to Metro West Natick.

5:29 a.m. – Caller reported suspicious vehicle at intersection of Nebo and Hearthstone Streets. Officer reported no problem.

10:25 a.m. – Caller reported gates were down at the railroad tracks on Main Street. Train went through 10 minutes ago. CSX and Fire Department notified. Fire Department tied up the gates until CSX arrived. Officer directed traffic. At 11:04 a.m. CSX had not estimated time of arrival to scene. Officer taken off transfer station to help with traffic. 2:10 p.m. CSX arrived to scene.

12:52 p.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle accident with no personal injury on North Meadows Road. Officer checked the area but vehicles were gone on arrival.

4:14 p.m. – Sherborn Police Department called to report an erratic driver on Route 27. No plate was given but vehicle was described as a red minivan. Officer Robert Flaherty checked out Route 27 from Sherborn to Walpole but vehicle was gone on arrival.

4:16 p.m. – Lifeline called to report woman on Kenney Road fell and needed help up. Lifeline called back to report woman was bleeding from her head. Ambulance had already arrived and was enroute to Norwood Hospital.

4:43 p.m. – Caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on North Street.

5:09 p.m. – Woman from Pine Grove Road called emergency 911 to report her 4-year-old son had hit his head and was bleeding. Millis ambulance and police notified. Millis ambulance transported patient to Framingham.

7:03 p.m. – Gene Hurley of 147 Harding St. called to report he had a water main break in front of his house with a car stuck in the hole. Sergeant Ray Burton reported David O’Toole got a crew and will fix the problem.

8:44 p.m. – Kathy Callahan called to report an owl in the road and was not sure if it was injured. Officer Robert Flaherty notified. Owl was gone upon arrival.

8:49 p.m. – Woman on Philip Street called to report she had a babysitter at the house and the sitter called to say someone was ringing the door bell. The woman cannot reach the babysitter on the house phone or cell phone. Officer Christine DiNatale reported UPS dropped off a package and the sitter’s cell phone died. There was no problem to report.

Sunday, Jan. 30:

3:27 a.m. – Emergency 911 caller reported she had been getting annoying/threatening calls on her cell phone from a female party. Officer notified and responded. A report was filed.

11:35 a.m. – A Walpole woman called to report she was in Shaw’s parking lot and she was watching a vehicle with two small children in it and no adult for about 10 minutes. Officer Wayne Sallale spoke to mother of children and all was set.

11:37 a.m. – Individual called to report an erratic driver on Main Street. Officer notified and Sergeant Ray Burton notified Millis Police.

5:17 p.m. – Ambulance run for 15-month-old baby convulsing with a high fever. Westwood medics responded.

8:23 p.m. – Ambulance requested at Wilkens Glen Road because individual having difficulty breathing.

9:41 p.m. – Ambulance transported 13-year-old to Norwood Hospital after feeling nauseous and weak.

Monday, Jan. 31:

12:20 a.m. – Ambulance reported to 519 Main St. because individual was complaining of chest pains. Ambulance transported patient to Natick.

1:35 a.m. – Officer Thomas LaPlante requested the Highway Department be notified of a sign down and going into the road at 527 Main St. in front of Anton’s Cleaners.

1:43 a.m. – Officer Thomas Laplante reported a Toyota Tacoma coming out of 270 Main St.

6:49 a.m. – Caller reported she had a confrontation with her upstairs neighbor because of noise. Caller complained of noise and neighbor became irate. Sergeant Burton spoke to involved parties.

7:52 a.m. – Officer reported lights going off at the railroad crossing with no train. CSX notified.

8:30 a.m. – 911 hang-up from the elevator at Town Hall. Officer reported all was in order upon arrival.

8:56 a.m. – Caller requested ambulance to the Kingsbury Club because a woman had fallen. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

9:25 a.m. – Caller reported she had been trying to clear out a fire hydrant but had been able to do so. Highway Department notified and would notify Ed Hinkley.  

1:37 p.m. - Detail officer reported Comcast motor vehicle was going to cause an accident the way it was moving on the road. Officer reported Comcast personnel was trying to find a break in the line and may need a detail man. 

2:25 p.m. - Walpole Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident and one of the motor vehicles left the scene, no plate was given. Vehicle was heading towards Medfield with heavy front-end damage. Officers notified and checked roads. 

4:03 p.m. - Cell caller reported a vehicle stuck in a snow bank at the cemetery and requested AAA. 

4:16 p.m. - Dr. Voo from the family practice on Granite Street called and asked to do a well-being check on a woman who was at the Doctor's office earlier that day. Woman in question was OK and would not need a visit to the hospital. 

4:28 p.m. - 911 abandon call came in from CVS. Desk officer called back and got the answering machine. Officer checked scene and all was OK. 

5:16 p.m. - Caller in Florida reported receiving threats from an individual in Norwood. Threats happened in Medfield. Caller spoke to Officer Larz Anderson and report was filed. 

8:37 p.m. - Caller reported his wife was in a minor motor vehicle collision on Noon Hill Road near the Gun Club. He was enroute to the scene. Officer reported minor damage and that involved parties exchanged paperwork. 

9:11 p.m. - Caller reported she received a suspicious call from a furniture delivery company and wanted to speak to an officer. Officer Grover resolved matter with individual. 

10:02 p.m. - An off-duty Boston Police officer called to report a vehicle cut him off and kept stopping in front of him. He said operator was passing Bridge Street in Medfield and heading towards Millis. Desk officer notified Millis Police. 

10:29 p.m. - Caller reported a problem with her neighbor at Wilkens Glen Road. Noise problem, officers responded and spoke to both subjects. Individuals will call management in the morning to discuss problem.
