Police Logs, Jan. 17-24: Teen Arrested, Disturbance at Noon Hill Grill and Vandalism

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Tuesday, Jan. 17:

4:57 a.m. – Highway Department reported a car ran into one of their snowplows on Route 27 at Jorire Lane. Assured Collision towed the vehicle.

4:39 p.m. – Individual came into the station to speak to an officer about someone from John Crowder Road being at his house when he got home. Woman had a letter of disinvite. Officer issued a summons for trespassing to a 19-year-old Medfield resident from John Crowder Road.

5:32 p.m. – Individual came into the station to report his mailbox was damaged on New Year’s Eve night. He knows who did the damage. Officer reported it was a civil matter.

8:57 p.m. – 911 caller reported his two year old son on Adams Street was choking and may have been going into a seizure. Officers notified. Ambulance transported child to Norwood Hospital.

Wednesday, Jan. 18:

12:56 p.m. – Officer reported a motor vehicle accident on Main Street and requested ambulance. Medfield Fire Chief William Kingsbury later cancelled the request for an ambulance, saying it wasn’t needed. Mailbox at 671 Main St. was knocked over.

1:03p.m. – Caller from Birch Road reported a man in a silver pickup truck going door to door asking “strange questions.” Officers responded but man was gone on arrival. Officer spoke to caller, who said the man wanted to know if this was Birch Road or Birch Lane.

Thursday, Jan. 19:

8:01 a.m. – Woman called from Clark Road to request the ambulance for her six-year-old daughter, who had passed out. Ambulance transported patient to Newton/Wellesley Hospital.

10:08 a.m. – Man from Oak Street called for an individual on Pleasant Street who had a man standing on the sidewalk in front of his house drawing a picture of the sidewalk. Officer spoke to the individual from Bridge Street and he went on his way. Report was filed.

10:20 a.m. – Man from Dale Street called emergency 911 to request the ambulance for his wife. He would like her transported to the hospital. The ambulance transported the patient to Glover Hospital.

12:01 p.m. – Man from Medfield Water Department called the station to report when he was driving by Pine Street, there was water coming from inside the garage of a residence. Officer reported the front door was unlocked and no one was home. Sergeant was enroute to the residence and at 12:17 p.m. reported the situation was clear. Man from Water Department turned off the water.

4:05 p.m. – Officer requested the ambulance at the driveway to the Medfield Transfer Station on North Meadows Road for a man sitting in his vehicle who may be having some type of an attack (possibly breathing). Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital. At 7:15 p.m., the man came into the station and picked up the keys to his Xfinity van and would be on his way home.

6:49 p.m. – Manager of the Noon Hill Grill called emergency 911 to request the police because they had an unwanted man at the bar and wanted him removed ASAP. Sergeant reported all officers were clear and the South Street resident had gone home.

7:31 p.m. – Manager from the Noon Hill Grill called emergency 911 to report the man earlier removed from the restaurant returned and was talking to the owner. Manager requested to speak to an officer. Sergeant reported all officers were clear of the scene and reported the man left the area and would not return. Sergeant returned the station with a letter of disinvite from the Noon Hill Grill owner. Letter received by the man from South Street in hand.

Friday, Jan. 20:

8:56 a.m. – Fire alarm sounded for a possible fire at CVS on Main Street. Officer reported scene was clear at 9:06 a.m.

4:36 p.m. – Man from Green Street called from his cell phone to report he was just in a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury on Causeway Street by Noon Hill Road. He went off the road and hit an NSTAR pole. Officer requested Assured Collision towing. Officer reported it was NSTAR pole 50 that was hit. NSTAR notified.

8:04 p.m. – Caller reported when he arrived home on Pueblo Road there was a blue pickup truck parked in front of his residence. The truck then sped off. Officer checked the area.

10:13 p.m. – Caller reported water running at the end of Grove Street and Dale Street. Sergeant was enroute to scene and reported water coming from beneath the road. Ed Hinkley notified.

Saturday, Jan. 21:

1:01 a.m. – Officer reported a few youths behind A&D on Main Street. Officer reported she was coming back to the station at 1:13 a.m. with one under arrest. Marie Francesca Wallace, 19, of 36 Frairy St., Medfield, was arrested on a warrant for deface of property. Bail was set for $396.66. Wallace was bailed out at 3:04 a.m.

7:34 a.m. – Officer reported someone knocked over the stop sign at South and Spring Streets. Robert Kennedy Jr. was notified.

8:27 a.m. – Sergeant reported he was out with a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury at West and Harding Streets. Vehicle crashed into an NSTAR pole. Sergeant requested Assured Collision towing for one vehicle. Sergeant also requested the fire department for an oil spill. NSTAR notified about hit pole.

2:26 p.m. – Medfield resident from Flint Locke Lane came into the station and requested to speak with an officer about a case of larceny. Sergeant spoke with the individual and filed a report.

Sunday, Jan. 22:

6:39 p.m. – Caller from Ledgetree Road reported some people yelling in the area of Nebo Street and Foundry Street. Officer responded and found nothing.

7:03 p.m. – Caller reported she had a large Golden Retriever with a blue collar and no tags at her door. Desk officer notified the Animal Control officer.

Monday, Jan. 23:

7:04 a.m. – Caller reported employee of Electric Time was having chest pains. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

6:59 p.m. – Caller reported she was having a problem with her neighbor on Wilkens Glen Road. She requested to speak to an officer.

Tuesday, Jan. 24:

8:46 a.m. – Man called from his cell phone to report he hit a deer in the area of North Street. Animal Control officer responded and reported the deer was removed. Man’s vehicle was towed by Assured Collision.

1:05 p.m. – Woman came into the station to report some vandalism done to her vehicle around noon Tuesday in the parking lot of Medfield High School. She reported some kids were throwing snowballs in the parking lot and one or two of them broke her driver side mirror. Officer looked at damage.
