Police Logs, Feb. 15-21: Underage Possession of Liquor, Woman Arrested on Warrant and a Small Woods Fire

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Wednesday, Feb. 15:

9:21 a.m. – Officer was out doing radar on South Street and Wilson Street and reported no citations were issued.

9:33 a.m. – Woman called emergency 911 from Nebo Street to request the ambulance for a woman, 60, who was light headed. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

2:12 p.m.  – Man from North Street requested radar be done at Pine Street if possible because in the mornings, between 5:30 and 6:45, vehicles are “going very fast.”

8:12 p.m. – Millis Police called for Medfield’s ambulance for a man with cardiac arrest. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

Thursday, Feb. 16:

6:08 a.m. – Officer reported no citations issued while out on radar on Pine Street.

11:27 a.m. – Cesar Avila, 46, 79 Hall St. Apt. 1, Waltham was arrested during a motor vehicle stop at Main and Hartford Streets and charged with unlicensed operation of motor vehicle, broken taillight and a cracked windshield.

2:23 p.m. – Found woman’s lost diamond ring in January at sledding hill on South Street. Entered at police station as lost property. Was found by woman on Snyder Road.

5:40 p.m. – Man struck a deer on North Street, north of Harding Street and reported damage to his vehicle. The deer ran off.

7:55 p.m. – Millis Police requested mutual aid response of Medfield’s ambulance to Vankleeck off Exchange Street for a 91-year-old with chest pains. Ambulance transported patient to Framingham.

Friday, Feb. 17:

7:50 a.m. – Man reported a deceased deer by his mailbox on North Street. Highway Department notified and picked it up.

11:05 a.m. – Several calls of a motor vehicle accident in front of 266 Main St. came into the station. Ambulance and police units responded to the scene. One patient was transported to Norwood Hospital. Assured Collision was notified for towing and fire chief William Kingsbury reported a man and his two children were driven to North Street.

2:10 p.m. – One traffic citation was issued on Pleasant and Oak Streets.

7:49 p.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale reported he was checking on a group behind Bullards Market on Green Street. Officer reportedly issued court summons to two individuals. One individual, 22, a Causeway Street resident, was charged with procuring liquor for a person under 21 and another individual, 16, was charged with under 21 possession of liquor.

8:56 p.m. – Woman called emergency 911 from Woodridge Road to report she was robbed. She said this happened in the past and was not presently happening. Officer received the statement from the homeowner and filed an incident report.

Saturday, Feb. 18:

7:52 a.m. – Woman from High Street called emergency 911 requesting the ambulance for herself. Woman had a bad nosebleed and was transported to LM Hospital.

11:10 a.m. – Officer called from Millis Police to request mutual aid for Medfield ambulance to Orchard Street in Millis for a 79-year-old man with a bad nosebleed. Patient was transported to Milford Hospital.

4:38 p.m. – EMT radioed the station to report they were enroute with the ambulance to the Thomas Upham House on 519 Main St. for an individual who was having chest pains. Desk officer notified paramedics, who transported patient to LM Hospital.

7:24 p.m. – Man called from outside of Pap Gino’s on North Meadows Road to request the ambulance for an older man who had fallen in front of the store. He was inside the store. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

Sunday, Feb. 19:

2:07 a.m. – Woman from Evergreen Way called emergency 911 to report her husband was having trouble breathing. Ambulance, police and medic were notified. Ambulance transported patient to MetroWest Natick.

6:31 a.m. – Man from Evergreen Way called emergency 911 to report he was not feeling well. Ambulance and officer notified. Ambulance transported patient to MetroWest Natick.

12:14 p.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale reported he had a suspicious small white car take off from him up Rocky Lane from High Street at a high rate of speed. Officer reported he talked to an individual walking their dog, who told him the vehicle went down Forest Street back to High Street and took a right on to High Street (Route 27) headed for Walpole. Desk officer notified Walpole Police to keep an eye out for the vehicle going into their town on Route 27. Officer reported he checked the area for the vehicle with no luck.

6:14 p.m. – Woman called from her cell phone to report a small fire in the woods between building five and six at Wilkens Glen Road. Fire chief William Kingsbury reported he was out with a fire in the woods. At 6:45 p.m., officer Larz Anderson reported the fire was out.

Monday, Feb. 20:

6:08 a.m. – Woman hit a deer on Pine Street. Deer was still alive in the middle of the road. Officer Pellegrini reported the dear was deceased upon arrival and requested the Highway Department pick it up.

3:17 p.m. – Woman from Flint Locke Lane called to report a dog was hit and killed by a motor vehicle in front of her house. A Medfield Police officer and Animal Control responded to scene. The motor vehicle that hit the dog did not stop and no one knows what happened. Animal Control spoke with the owner of the dog.

5:31 p.m. – Woman called from her cell phone to report a fire in the woods between building five and six at Wilkens Glen Road. At 5:38 p.m., Fire chief William Kingsbury reported he was all set at 363 Main St. and officer Sallale was clear from the scene.

Tuesday, Feb. 21:

1:06 a.m. – Roxanne J., Desper, 40, 52 Northway St., Holliston was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on Route 27 near the Transfer Station on North Meadows Road. Desper, who had a warrant out for her arrest issued by Attleboro District Court, was charged with attaching plates to a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, license not in possession, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating after suspension of registration. Bail Commissioner Bob Quinn denied bail and officer Daniel Pellegrini transported Desper to Dedham District Court at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday.
