Police Logs, Feb. 1-9: Teacher Taken to Hospital, Brush Fire and Animal Complaints

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Wednesday, Feb. 1:

2:54 a.m. – Caller reported he heard what sounded like a girl screaming in the area of the swim pond. Officers notified. Officer transported a female back to Frairy Street from Green Street.

Thursday, Feb. 2:

9:29 a.m. – Medfield High School nurse called emergency 911 to request the ambulance for a female teacher, who needs to go to the hospital. She was light headed and unsteady on her feet. Ambulance transported patient to LM Hospital at 9:42 a.m.

Friday, Feb. 3:

5:46 p.m. – Man from South Street reported tire tracks and damage to a small tree on his property. HE wanted it noted and said it may have been a possible motor vehicle accident on Thursday. Detective handled the motor vehicle accident.

6:41 p.m. – A 29-year-old Framingham woman was issued a court summons on charges of marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after a motor vehicle stop on Route 27 near the transfer station.

9:55 p.m. – A report of stuffed animals in the roadway on Granite Street came into the station. Officer removed the objects from the road.

Saturday, Feb. 4:

12:45 p.m. – Millis Fire Department requested mutual aid for fire at 6 Bayberry Rd. Engine 1 and 80 responded.

12:56 p.m. – Woman called to report a fire in the fields along Route 109 near the Estate and Lovells. Medfield Fire notified. Brush #1 and ambulance responded.  

4:58 p.m. – Caller reported she had a stray dog (beagle) in her yard. Animal Control notified.

10:43 p.m. – Caller reported three cars with kids in them on South Street near Route 27. The first car had a lot of kids in it and they were hanging out the sunroof throwing things. The cars were headed towards Walpole. Desk officer called Walpole Police and they reported they would check the area. Walpole PD reported cars were gone on arrival.

Sunday, Feb. 5:

11:54 a.m. – Woman called from Causeway Street to report her small blonde dog was missing and if found call her. At 11:59 a.m., woman called back to report she found her dog.

10 p.m. – 911 caller reported from Indian Hill Road she would like an ambulance for her son, who was not feeling well. No transport was needed.

10:53 p.m. – Caller reported he hit a tree on Route 27 near Elm Road. The accident may have occurred in Walpole, according to the desk officer. Ambulance and Medfield Police notified. Units cleared after discovering the incident occurred in Walpole and they would handle.

Monday, Feb. 6:

9 a.m. – Woman from Marlyn Road called to report her neighbor lets her dog out in the morning and the dog runs after the kids waiting for the school bus. Animal Control notified.

11:35 a.m. – Woman from Spruce Way walked into the station with a dog she found running down Spring Street. Animal Control notified and would take the dog to the animal shelter.

3:50 p.m. – Woman came into the station to report her Citi Bank Mastercard was used on Jan. 9 without her authorization.

5:32 p.m. – Caller reported a dirt bike on South Street by the railroad tracks.

6:40 p.m. – Man called to report he and his wife are going through a divorce and are having a dispute over the car while both are in the Noon Hill Grill. Officer notified.

11:41 p.m. – Man from Nauset Street called to report he can hear an animal screaming in pain. Officer notified and reported nothing was found.

Tuesday, Feb. 7:

6:54 a.m. – Man from Forest Street called to report his five-year-old son was unresponsive. Ambulance, police and paramedics were notified. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

Wednesday, Feb. 8:

9:29 a.m. – Man from Green Street called to report he thinks he may have a chimney fire. He had no smoke in the house but had a little fire on the top of his chimney and would like it checked. Officer and Fire Department checked the home and reported the scene was clear.

1:25 p.m. – Woman called on Main Street to report a group of kids on the roof of the Zullo Gallery. Officer reported no kids were on the roof at the time of arrival to the scene.

Thursday, Feb. 9:

12:26 a.m. – Officer was out on Main Street near Pound Street with a motor vehicle stop and requested Assured Collision for the motor vehicle. A 38-year-old Framingham man was issued a court summons on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

5:49 a.m. – Two calls about a car hitting a deer on Route 109 near the Dover line came into the station. Officer responded and put the deer down. Highway Department was notified for removal.

6:36 a.m. – Caller reported a car going up and down Hospital Road with a loud muffler.

8:40 a.m. – Woman from the Thomas Upham House came into the station with a letter of disinvite for a 32-year-old Millville individual, who is “currently in lock up at for making threats to hurt or possibly kill some workers at the Thomas Upham House,” according to the police log
