Police Log: Youths Doing Push-Ups in Middle of Route 109

The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 13

8:40 a.m.: A resident reported a crash on Janes Avenue. Another driver hit his pickup truck.

11:50 a.m.: An EMT received a complaint about a sick fox behind the Montrose School on Brook Street. The animal was on top of a sand pile. The animal control officer responded but the fox ran off.

2:36 p.m.: An officer reported he was out with a disabled motorist on North Meadows Road. The motorist lost a tire on his trailer, and said he would be back.

3:22 p.m.: A caller reported her neighbor was being stalked by a woman. Police are investigating.

6:37 p.m.: Police received a complaint that youths were running in and out of traffic on North Meadows Road at Main, collecting money. An officer was dispatched but the youths were gone.

10:43 p.m.: A caller reported a possible party at the quarry on Quarry Road. The parents were not at home, and he was concerned about cars and teens in the area. Police dispatched an officer, but no problems were found.

11:03 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Main Street near Shaw's. Police were told youths were hanging out in front of the supermarket. Police responded but the youths were gone.

Saturday, Sept. 14

11:20 a.m.: A caller reported an unwanted woman on her neighbor's porch. The caller said her neighbor wanted the woman removed. Police responded.

12:10 p.m.: A caller on Spring Street reported a person in a vehicle was throwing bags into a Dumpster. 

12:30 p.m.: A caller reported a group of youths were doing push-ups in the middle of Route 109 near the new Dunkin' Donuts. The officers who responded said the youths were shooting a video. They were told to stay out of the street.

4:27 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street at Brook Street, police arrested Alexander Comstock Villa, 19, of 12 Carmen Cir., Medfield, on a charge of person under age 21 possessing liquor.

5:41 p.m.: A caller reported smoke coming from her car on Main Street. Police responded and found the smoke was from an overheated engine.

8:42 p.m.: A caller reported fireworks in the cul-de-sac on Haven Road. People were in the sandpit behind Wheelock School, setting off bottle rockets.

Sunday, Sept. 15

2:09 p.m.: A caller requested help for her husband, who had taken more pills than he should have. Police responded. The man did not need to be transported.

5:03 p.m.: A caller on South Street said she hit a deer and the animal was still alive. Police responded and put the deer down.

Monday, Sept. 16

12:08 a.m.: A caller reported she was locked in her basement and could not reach her husband. Police responded and retrieved a spare key as directed by the homeowner, and let her out.
