Police Log: Two Summons and One Very Large Deer

Here's a look at the police log for Dec. 1 and Dec. 2.

Saturday, Dec. 1

8:22 a.m., all roads. The Highway Department is out sanding all the roads in the town of Medfield.

10:39 a.m., Pound Street. A visiting nurse reported that she is at Tilden Village and her client's unit is locked and he has fallen down and cannot get to the door. Medfield ambulance took man to Norwood Hospital.

10:39 a.m., Wood End Lane. Walk-in report of vandalism. Man said that sometime overnight someone smashed his mailbox and post. 

12:57 p.m., Cottage Street. After an investigation, police are seeking a summons for a 25-year old Bellingham resident for possession of a Class E drug.

5:50 p.m., Spring Street. Police helped with church traffic at St. Edwards.

8:05 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a coyote ran into the side of his vehicle near Trailside Drive. He said the coyote could still be alive. No Animal Control Officer on duty this weekend. Police did not find the coyote. 

8:09 p.m., Millis. Millis Police requested mutual aid for Van Kleek Road for a woman having trouble breathing. Millis cancelled the run.

8:23 p.m., Main Street. Police pulled over a car (2000 Chevy Malibu) to discover it was unregistered and uninsured. Police are seeking a summons for a 26-year-old Dedham resident for driving an unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle, attaching plates to a motor vehicle. The car was towed. Note: This day was the driver's birthday. 

9:34 p.m., North Meadow Road. Police pulled over a car (2011 Lexus RX350) that may have a male-female disturbance. Police determined it was a minor disturbance and peace was restored.

10:30 p.m., Dover. Dover Police requested mutual aid for an ambulance on Snow Hill Lane. 

Sunday, Dec. 2

5:25 a.m., Wilkins Glen. Caller reported a suspicious person walking around Wilkins Glen. Gone on arrival.

8:05 a.m., 6:51 p.m. Spring Street. Police helped with church traffic at St. Edward's.

9:09 a.m., Main Street. Police helped with church traffic at the United Church of Christ.

11:33 a.m., West Street. Caller reported he just received a call from a friend who said an ex-employee (who lives in Millis) is at his business trying to go through one of the trucks. Police responded. The business owner said nothing was missing; he will send a Letter of Disinvite to the ex-employee.

4:58 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported that someone just hit her car (1999 Nissan Altima) between 270 and 358 Main Street. Three witnesses called and reported it was a very large deer. Police could not find the deer.  

7 p.m., North Street. Walk-in report of a large pothole near North and Dale Streets that he would like filled. The water department put a barrel in the hole until it could be filled.
