Police Log: Teens Charged with Breaking and Entering

The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

9:13 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported she was walking her dog two nights prior, and saw a strange man behind 50 Park St. She noticed on Tuesday night that the screen to one of the windows was missing. A sergeant and a detective responded, and secured the window and the door. The building was the former Crystal Cave, recently relocated to Florida. 

4:46 p.m.: A caller said a girl on the playing field at Dale Street needed to be checked out. She had an asthma attack and appeared to be OK but her mother asked for an evaluation by EMTs. The girl was taken to a hospital.

5:07 p.m.: A caller on West Street reported his house was broken into. Police responded and apprehended two teen boys who were in the area. Police are seeking a summons to charge a 17-year-old with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, larceny from a building and person under 21 possessing liquor. A 16-year-old will be charged with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, larceny from a building and person under age 21 possessing liquor.

9:27 p.m.: Sherborn Police reported a car had taken off in that town, was passing other towns and did not stop for police. It was then on Route 27. Police responded but the car was gone.

Thursday, Oct. 3

6:55 a.m.: A caller on Causeway Street reported the back window of her car was smashed the previous night. She asked police to file a report.

7:29 a.m.: A caller on Causeway Street reported someone smashed his car windshield overnight. An officer responded. The window appeared to have been shot out with a BB gun. Police filed a report.

8:56 a.m.: A woman came into police headquarters with a dog that she said she almost hit on Dale Street. An animal control officer responded.

9:03 a.m.: A caller from Lovell's reported a road rage incident on Main Street involving two men, one in a gray car and another in a red pickup. Police responded and determined it was a verbal argument only. The vehicles were gone.

1:01 p.m.: A motorist told police a car westbound on Route 109 was driving erratically. The male driver appeared to be crying. Police stopped the vehicle. The driver was a woman who said her boyfriend had gotten out of the vehicle and had said he was going to hurt himself. Police checked and found the man walking on Pound Street. Everyone appeared to be OK.

4:24 p.m.: A caller on Oak at Pleasant streets said two men were fighting. One had taken a swing at the other with his fist. Police responded. A second caller said a man was leaving the area with a backpack heading toward Tilden Village. Police restored peace then filed a report.

7:06 p.m.: Diamond Fire and Security Alarm reported several motion detectors were going off at a home on Overfield Drive. Police reasponded, as did Dover Police. A K-9 unit from Milton also responded. Police contacted a family member, who was responding. Police were continuing an investigation.

8:20 p.m.: A resident of Pilgrim Lane said she heard multiple gun shots, and had also heard them last Thursday night. It sounded like someone target practicing. Millis Police were contacted, who said they had an indoor range at Fin Fur and Feather near the Medfield line, but not an outside range.
