Police Log: Sept. 9 to Sept. 12

Here's a look at Medfield's safety logs for last week.

 

Sunday, Sept. 9

5:16 a.m., Main Street.  Caller reported a tree branch on Route 109 near Donut Express.

6:20 a.m., Nye Road. Caller reported a possible sick or injured animal on Nye Road. Police confirmed there was a wild animal in distress in the middle of the driveway. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

7:40 a.m., Spring Street.  Police assisted with church traffic at 7:40 a.m., 9:49 a.m., 11:47 a.m., and 6:51 p.m.

10:20 a.m., Noon Hill Road.  Caller reported four dogs running in and out of traffic.  Owner was located.

12:49 p.m., Charlesdale Road.  Caller reported a squirrel in her driveway that was “not moving at all.”  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

Monday, Sept. 10

8:02 a.m., Spring Street.  Caller reported a black lab running in and out of traffic.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

9:00 a.m., Adams Street.  Walk-in report from a man who found a dog on Adams Street.  Animal Control was notified. It was learned the dog was from a nearby shelter.

6:48 p.m., Remsen Avenue and Johns Avenue. Caller reported a man screaming and yelling obscenities. 

Tuesday, Sept. 11

8:38 p.m., Orchard Street.  Police discovered a tree limb leaning on wires on Orchard Street near Niantic Street.  NStar was notified.

9:59 p.m., West Street.  Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked at the American Legion.

11:19 p.m., Pound Street.  Caller wants speed trailer removed from Pound Street. Police logged the request.

Wednesday, Sept. 12

12:45 p.m., Main Street.  Caller reported a dog in a vehicle for half an hour with windows down only a half inch.  Animal Control was notified. Gone on arrival.

4:17 p.m., West Street and North Meadows Road. Caller reports she lost her cell phone this morning on the MBTA and she is tracking it to a parking lot at 68 West Street. Police discovered there is no 68 West Street in the address books.  Police spoke with the husband of the cell phone owner. Phone is now on the move again.
