Police Log: Opossum in Back Yard, Accident at School Crossing, Dog Barking All Day Long
Here's a glance at the Medfield safety log for Jan. 10 and Jan. 11.
Thursday, Jan. 10
2:16 a.m., Causeway Street. Alarm company reported an alarm coming from the garage. Police found the house was secure.
7:48 a.m., Bridge Street. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle (new Toyota sedan) driving up and down the street. Gone on arrival.

9:47 a.m., Planting Field Road. Caller said she has no water. Police also received a call from Forest Street. Police called the Water Department who said they have a water break on High Street near Garry Drive. At 9:51 a.m., detail officer helping with traffic at High and Garry. At 10:38 a.m., police report water is turned off and they are repairing the water pipe.
11:08 a.m., Frairy Street. Alarm company reports an alarm at a business. At 11:14 a.m., police found an unlocked side door. All looks in good order.

12:30 p.m., Pound Street. Caller requested the animal control officer because he has an opossum in his back yard. Animal Control removed the opossum.
1:11 p.m., Main Street. Police are doing radar on Main Street. No citations issued.
2:20 p.m., Main Street and Robert Sproul Road. Crossing guard reported a two-car accident with no personal injury. Vehicles were a 2000 Dodge Stratus and a 2011 Ford Escape. Wrecker was called for one; the state will send a tow truck for their vehicle.
2:13 p.m., Marlyn Road. Station received several calls about a dog that has been running around the neighborhood and barking all day. Police left a message for the owner and contacted Animal Control.
8:47 p.m., Main Street and Brook Street. E911 caller reported a car accident. Wrecker called for 2002 Audi station wagon and 2012 Honda CRV. Accident cleared at 9:38 p.m.
11:55 p.m., Park Street. Police pulled over a car on Park Street.
Friday, Jan. 11
1:43 a.m., Kingsbury Club. Alarm company reports alarm in the building. Police said the building is secure.
5:47 a.m., Colonial Road. E911 caller asked for an ambulance for himself; he has low blood sugar. Medfield Fire took him to Norwood Hospital.
7:59 a.m., South Street and Curve Street. Traffic enforcement; two citations issued.
9:40 a.m., Longmeadow Road. Caller asked to speak with Animal Control Officer.
