Police Log: Mischief, Deer on Main Street, Man Fell Off Horse

Here's a look at the safety log for Nov. 2 and Nov. 3

5:10 p.m., North Street. Many callers reported a water break in front of the Post Office. Police contacted the DPW which contacted the company doing the work who fixed the problem around 5:40 p.m.

6:50 p.m., Curve Street. Caller reported kids on the tennis court where they had turned on the lights. Kids were gone when police arrived. Police turned off the court lights. Police spoke with manager who said that, as of Nov. 1, the lights will be turned off at 7 p.m.

8:43 p.m., Tamarack Road. Police received a call of "mischief." Caller reported three cars driving around the area dropping off kids. Gone on arrival.

11:18 p.m., Pound Street. Caller reported loud music at Tilden Village. Police did not hear any music. Caller called again at 11:44 p.m. Police spoke with the neighbor who agreed to turn off the music for the rest of the night.

Saturday, Nov. 3

4:06 a.m., Overfield Drive. Caller reported his daughter had abdominal pain. Medfield Fire transported her to Needham.

8 a.m., Main Street. Police responded to a car accident with no personal injury. A woman was parked and opened her door into traffic and a man driving on Main Street lost his side mirror. 

9:56 a.m., North Street. Caller from the "field where they ride the horses" on North Street said she needed an ambulance for a man who fell off a horse and hurt his ribs. Medfield Fire transported him to Needham.

12:07 p.m., Main Street. Someone requested a well being check of a man standing in front of the old Friendly's waving a U.S. flag and speaking out about President Obama. Police reported, "There is no problem with the man, he is just a strong supporter of Mitt Romney running for president." 

2:19 p.m., North Meadows Road. Walk-in report of a man holding political signs inside the transfer station. Police spoke with DPW workers who told him to stand in that area so no one gets hurt by incoming or outgoing vehicles.

2:23 p.m., Main Street. Millis police said they received a call from a motorist coming into Medfield of a car that was all over the road, in and out of traffic. At 2:25 p.m., that same caller then called Medfield Police to say the car just went through the lights at Main and South Streets and took a left onto Brook Street. Police did not find the car in the area. 

3 p.m., Bridge Street. Caller reported his back license plate had been stolen. 

5:44 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.

5:50 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported he hit a deer in the area of 306 Main Street. The deer ran into the woods.

6:18 p.m., Pine Street. Caller reported a large pile of leaves in the road near Pine Street and Hawthorne Drive. Police found the pile is off to the side of the road and vehicles are hitting the pile and blowing it into the woods.

6:38 p.m., South Street. Walk in report about a past larceny; someone went through is garage and vehicle.

7:42 p.m., West Mill Street. Caller reported there were two people in the office building changing the locks. It was later discovered that they were representatives of the new building owner.

9:06 p.m., West Mill Street. Police discovered a car of kids at Varney Bros Concrete. The driver called his mother in Sharon to come get him.
