Police Log: Medical Emergencies, State Hospital, Speeding, Car vs. Stone Wall

Here's a look at the Medfield safety log from Nov. 13, Nov. 14, and Nov. 15.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

12:32 p.m., Bridge Street. Caller reported a dog loose on Bridge Street.

5:40 p.m., Stoneybrook Road. Caller requested an ambulance for a man having chest pains. Medfield Fire transported to Norwood Hospital.

6:16 p.m., South Street. An E911 caller requested an ambulance for a female who had passed out but is now talking and alert. Millis ambulance responded and took the patient to Norwood Hospital.

9:11 p.m., North Street. Medfield Fire responded to a report of a fire on North Street after a caller reported a burning smell inside the house. A box had been struck near the house; the police department was notified.

Wednesday, Nov. 14

3:25 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported a car pulled into the Sunoco station and shut its lights off. Police found the building secure and no one around.

8:48 a.m., Adams Street. Dale Street School requested an ambulance for a student who passed out. Medfield Fire took patient to Norwood Hospital. 

3:57 p.m., West Street. Police conducted traffic enforcement on West Street.

4:06 p.m., Curve Street. Police conducted traffic enforcement at Curve Street and Powder House Road. One written warning and two verbal warnings were issued.

Thursday, Nov. 15

2:39 a.m., Pound Street. Lifeline called E911 to request an ambulance at Tilden Village to help a man who fell. Medfield Fire transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

8:13 a.m., Bridge Street. Caller reported cars are speeding up the street at 45mph when children are waiting for the bus. Patrol cars were notified.

10:49 a.m., Oak Street. Police conducted traffic enforcement at Oak and Pleasant Streets. One written warning was issued.

12:55 p.m., Main Street. A call came in from an outside fire box at the Medfield Public Library. Medfield police and fire departments responded but found nothing. The box was reset. 

1:06 p.m., North Street. Several E911 callers reported a car into a wall and a fire hydrant. Medfield police and fire departments responded and found no personal injury. The 1995 Oldsmobile was towed. The water department was advised of the damage to the hydrant. Property damage to a wall and fence on North Street.

1:34 p.m., High Street. Caller reported her elderly father had a high fever and unable to get up. ALS, from Walpole Fire, took the patient to Norwood Hospital.

3:52 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a large dead raccoon in the street. Animal Control was notified.

8:08 p.m., Hospital Road. Security guard at Medfield State Hospital reported a suspicious motor vehicle across the street from the grounds. Police spoke with the individual who was walking their dog.
