Police Log: Man Falls Off Scaffolding, Vandalism at Schilling Field

The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Sept. 26

11:49 a.m.: Police and EMTs responded to the Montrose School, where a student fainted and fell down several steps. She was taken to Norwood hospital.

5:21 p.m.: EMTs responded to Elm Street, where a caller said his friend had fallen about 15 to 20 feet off a scaffolding. The other man was not conscious, but breathing. The man was taken by medflight helicopter to Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Boston.

8:35 p.m.: A caller reported club members at the Sportsmans' Club on Noon Hill Road were shooting at the range, and she was trying to get her children to bed. Police responded and found lights off and no activity at the club. Another officer said reports of gunshots had been coming from Norfolk.

Friday, Sept. 27

12:55 a.m.: An officer investigated a vehicle at the soccer field at Ralph Wheelock School that was unattended.

10:07 a.m.: A caller complained of a loose dog in the area of Ridge Road that was bothering her dogs.

2:25 p.m.: A caller at Blake Middle School reported vandalism to the dugout at Schilling Field, sometime between Wednesday and Friday morning. Youths also were dismantling the retaining wall at Medfield High School's basketball court, and rocks were being found on all of the fields in town.

Saturday, Sept. 28

7:10 a.m.: A woman from Pleasant Street reported annoying and/or threatening calls she has been receiving. Police were investigating.

7:57 a.m.: The U.S. Department of Defense reported it planned to use the Medfield Police range off North Meadows Road Saturday.

10:34 a.m.: A caller on Green Street reported sometime overnight someone stole his plastic "Go Slow" kids with flags, valued at $30 each.

10:40 a.m.: A woman reported an older woman was pushing a shopping cart up North Meadows Road between Dale and West streets. She thought someone should check on her. Police did so, and found she was OK.

4:22 p.m.: A caller at Shaw's market asked to speak to an officer about a man who may have exposed himself to one of the employees inside the store. He asked to file a report. Police were investigating.

8:43 p.m.: A woman reported a man was riding a bike in the turnaround on Wilkens Glen Road. There were young children playing in the area and the man did not belong there, she reported. Police responded and found the man had left the area.

9:29 p.m.: A caller on Fairview Road reported someone in a vehicle had just damaged her mailbox and pole, valued at $300. This had happened before, she said.
