Police Log: Kids Fighting, Dog Hit on Granite Street

Wednesday, Dec. 12 (12/12/12)

9:39 a.m., South Street. Business reported a fire alarm. Accidental by workman.

12:46 a.m., Spring Street. Alarm company reported an alarm mudroom door. The house is secure. 

4:11 p.m., Green Street. Caller reported a dog in his back yard. Animal Control officer notified.

5:57 p.m., Main and North Streets. Three callers reported a water heater in the middle of Main Street at North Street. DPW said they would remove it. 

9:33 p.m., North Street. Caller reported he wasn't feel well. Ambulance took him to Needham.

Thursday, Dec. 13

5:12 a.m., Main Street. Alarm company reported an alarm coming from the front door of a business. Police found the building secure.

8:34 a.m., Spring Street. Caller reported a disabled motor vehicle in front of Kingsbury Pond. The vehicle, a 2003 Nissan Maxima, was towed. 

12:13 p.m., North Street. Verizon is doing work on E911 system.

12:57 p.m., North Street. Caller said her child came home from school and reported two boys fighting behind the Unitarian Church about 15 minutes ago. Police spoke with two youths but the fighting kids were gone on arrival. 

4:35 p.m., Pound Street. Police conducted a well being check at Tilden Village. Police found the door unlocked and a cat running around inside; the resident was with a neighbor and there is no problem.

4:53 p.m., Granite Street. Caller reported she was out in front of her house with a dead dog. Animal Control officer was notified. Dog is at Medfield Vet. 

5:25 p.m., Flint Locke Lane. Caller reported an alarm going off at the top of his basement stairs. Medfield Fire discovered it was a bad smoke alarm.

7 p.m., Fieldstone Drive. Caller reported she just came home and the door from her garage into the house was open and the back door was not locked all the way. Police found the house in order.

7:08 p.m., Main Street. Officer radioed station for an ambulance for an older man who had fallen on Main Street. The man cancelled the ambulance, said he was not hurt then drove himself home.
