Police Log: Junior Operator with Passenger Violation, Dad Fell in Driveway, Pushy Cat, Loose Kids and Dogs

Here's a look at the Medfield safety log for Jan. 7 and Jan. 8.

11:13 a.m., Pleasant Street. Concerned citizen reported to police that two young children were out by Metacomet Park with no visible adult supervision. Gone on arrival.

12:19 p.m., Granite Street. Caller reported two dogs running around the neighborhood. Animal Control was notified.

2:04 p.m., Main Street and Brook Street. Police stopped a car and two citations were issued, including one for possession of a small amount of marijuana. 

2:14 p.m., Bridge Street. Caller reported a stray cat was in her garage. Animal Control was notified and reported that the cat has been removed.

2:18 p.m., Harding Street. Police conducted traffic enforcement at Harding Street and Hospital Road.

2:25 p.m., South Street and Curve Street. Traffic enforcement yielded one citation.

6:44 p.m., Curve Street. A young girl called to request an ambulance for her father, age 50, who has fallen on the ice in his driveway; she said he is alert and talking. 7:10 p.m., Medfield Fire said there would be no transport.

7:03 p.m., Curve Street. Medfield Fire requested Columbia Gas go to area for the smell of gas. 

Tuesday, Jan. 8

1:06 a.m., Main Street. Police were out with a disabled motor vehicle. AAA arrived soon thereafter and fueled the vehicle.

5:13 a.m., South and Clark Streets. Traffic enforcement yielded two citations.

6:25 a.m., High Street. Caller said a deer hit him; he did not stop, he does not know if the deer is still there. Gone on arrival.

7:05 a.m., Dale and Bridge Streets. Traffic enforcement.

7:40 a.m., South and Curve Streets. Four citations issued for speed.

7:40 a.m., North Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury between a 2004 Honda CRV and a 2004 Ford Pickup. Wrecker was called. 

10:10 a.m., Main Street and Pederzini Drive. Traffic enforcement with no violations.

1:29 p.m., Route 27. Walpole Police said they just had an accident (vehicle vs pedestrian) and the vehicle (2008 Toyota Camry) may be on its way to Medfield. Owner of vehicle was "Sisters of Charity Halifax Corporate Mission Inc." of Wellesley Hills. Police checked the area and streets with no luck.
