Police Log Including Old Ammunition and Noisy 5 a.m. Newspaper Delivery

Here's a look at the Medfield safety log for Dec. 14 and Dec. 15.

Friday, Dec. 14

7:09 a.m., Main Street and Robert Sproul Road. Police helped at school crossing.

10:18 a.m., Prentiss Place. Caller reported some men working on some windows or breaking into a house, she's not sure which. Police report the men are working on the house.

2:50 p.m., Adams Street. Caller asked for an ambulance for her husband who was having stomach pain. Transported to Needham.

7 p.m., Main Street. Walk-in report of a wallet lost on Dec. 13 in the Shaw's parking lot.

7:08 p.m., Deerfield Drive. Caller asked for the Animal Control officer because he had two birds in his house. Animal Control could not be reached; police told homeowner to open a window. 

7:53 p.m., Main Street. Caller said someone hit and killed a deer and he pulled it to the side of the road. Highway department will remove it up in the morning. 

9:17 p.m., Metacomet Street. Motor vehicle stop and a traffic citation issued.

11:56 p.m., Causeway Street. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle with four occupants in it on the Causeway Street bridge. Police spoke to them and they moved along with no issues. 

Saturday, Dec. 15 

5:26 a.m., Oxbow Road. E911 caller reported a motorcycle racing in the area. A second E911 caller from Snyder Road said it was a car racing on Stagecoach. Third caller (on the business line) from Snyder Road said he thought it was the paper delivery car with a defective exhaust. A fourth caller called E911 to say she saw a four door sedan in her neighbor's driveway. A fifth caller from Westview Road reported cars racing in the area. Police found the car, a 2008 Kia Spectra, which turned out to be the paper delivery man; the vehicle did have a defective muffler and the driver was instructed to find another car to finish his route. 

8:04 a.m., North Street. Walk-in report from a woman who had locked herself out of her car in the Post Office parking lot.

12:06 p.m., Main and Brook Streets. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with personal injury. Wrecker called for a 2006 Mercedes.

1:56 p.m., North Street. E911 caller requested help with a family disturbance. Peace was restored.

4:41 p.m., Caller reported a white pickup truck driving erratically on Main Street. Police pulled the man over just over the Millis line and drive was fine.

4:54 p.m., North Street. Walk-in drop off of "various calibers of old ammo for the department to dispose of." 

5:50 p.m., Main Street at North Street. Police helped with traffic control. 

5:50 p.m., Spring Street. Police helped with traffic at St. Edward's Church. 

7:07 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported an erratic driver on Route 109 heading west in and out of traffic. The license plate was registered to a Brookline address. Car was not found by police.

11:11 p.m., Harding Street. E911 caller reported a 60-year old man fell and hit his head and is "bleeding profusely." Medfield Fire took him to Needham.
