Police Log: Break-in, Toilet Paper, and Trash

Here is a look at the police log for Oct. 9 and Oct. 10.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

9:16 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported a trash bag in front of the Peak House that looked suspicious. Police reported the bag was full of trash, and notified the Highway Department.

10:37 a.m., Pederzini Drive. Caller reported that a white female with curley long hair, age approximately 25 to 35 years old, knocked on her back door and asked for directions to Dedham. She was driving a bright blue smaller Toyota. Gone on arrival.

4:32 p.m., Wood End Lane. A 911 caller reported that her house was broken into. 

5:13 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported she saw a pizza delivery driver enter a liquor store and exit with a small bottle of alcohol that he poured into a soda can before driving away. Police notified the pizza shop where the manager said he would handle it.

7:19 p.m., Dover. Dover police called to ask about the breaking and entering earlier today on Wood End Lane. Dover had a similar break on Walpole Street, Dover, near Route 109.

7:57 p.m., Wellesley.  Wellesley police called asking about a Granite Street resident. Wellesley said there had been an altercation between a married couple at a restaurant earlier in the day and they had left before police arrived. Wellesley police suggested a well-being check on Granite Street. Medfield police found the husband and the babysitter were home with the child; man said he had been in Wellesley earlier in the evening but had no knowledge of any incident. 

8:52 p.m., Willow Circle. Caller reported election signs were stolen from her yard and apparently moved to Boyden Road which was also toilet-papered. Police retrieved one of the signs.

9:13 p.m., Pueblo Road. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle that had made at least three loops around the neighborhood. Gone on arrival.

11:48 p.m., Pleasant Street. Caller reported loud music near Metacomet Street. Police did not hear any loud music but saw a few girls outside having a cigarette.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

8:05 a.m., Homestead Drive. Alarm company reported a problem on Homestead Avenue. Called homeowner who said she is away and not expecting anyone at the house. Police discovered it was the cleaning company. Homeowner said they she had expected them on Thursday.

8:47 a.m., South Street. Traffic enforcement at South and Curve Streets. Two citations issued.

11:15 a.m., Millbrook Road. Caller reported an animal in the attic. Animal Control was notified.

11:30 a.m., High Street. Police stopped a red 2008 Hyundai Accent. A warning was issued.

1:10 p.m., Wood End Lane. Alarm Central reports a burglar alarm at the back door of a residence. Alarm Central called back to report they received a good alarm code from that address. Police discovered the wrong code had been entered by the grandmother.

1:45 p.m., Birch Lane. Police on patrol discovered a suspicious vehicle (2000 Honda Odyssey van) which was empty. When the owner returned to the vehicle, it was discovered they were house cleaners.

3:31 p.m., North Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage at North and Dale Streets. 

4:21 p.m., South Street. A 911 caller reported suspicious activity in the neighborhood. A dark colored pickup truck with yellow lights on it is in the yard and a man is outside the house looking around. Police discovered the man was working for the bank and was changing the locks.
