Police Log: Sudden Death, NStar on Standby, GPS Found in Boston

Here's a look at Medfield's safety log for Nov. 6 and Nov. 7 (the day of the snowstorm).

Tuesday, Nov. 6

1:24 a.m., North Street. Caller complained about low water pressure. Another caller reported no water on North Street. 

5:41 a.m., North Street. Caller reported no water. Police notified the water department. It may be a frozen pipe. The contractor working on the water main will look into the problem.

8:49 a.m., Main Street. A 911 caller reported someone was having a seizure. The patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.

9:40 a.m., Country Way. Walk-in report of fraud.

9:52 a.m., Park Street. Caller reported suspicious activity at Dover Country Store. Caller reported an open door but no one around. Police notified the building inspector for possible code violations.

11:48 a.m., Spring Street. Motorist flagged down police officer and told him there is a woman down on Spring Street. Police reported a sudden death. Medway Police made notification to daughter.

11:49 a.m., Lowell Mason Road. Caller reported water gushing from side of house on Lowell Mason. Water Department notified.

12:46 p.m., Cross Street and Grace Drive. Caller reported a suspicious male sitting in a red pickup truck at the corner of Cross Street and Grace Drive. Police spoke to the man who said he was waiting for a friend to come home.

4:19 p.m., Bridge Street. Police out with two suspicious vehicles. Police spoke with both parties; all set at this time.

4:48 p.m., West Street. Caller reported he would be leaving his hunting equipment overnight.

6:18 p.m., Harding Street. Caller reported motor vehicle damage after hitting a deer near Harding Street and Longmeadow Road near the Dover line. The deer was put down. Highway Dept will pick up in the morning.

Wednesday, Nov. 7 (day of the snowstorm)

4:22 a.m., Indian Hill Road. State Police reported they were chasing kids in Boston on foot and a GPS was dropped. The home address in the GPS came back to Indian Hill Road. The GPS may have been stolen in a car break; police investigating.

7:15 a.m., High Street. E911 caller reported he hit a deer on High Street. Gone on arrival.

12:01 p.m., West Street. E911 caller reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage near Will's Hardware. Wrecker ordered; Medfield Fire took patient one to Natick.

1:57 p.m., Oriole Road. Walk-in report of a strange text message to his daughter.

2:05 p.m.  NStar called to report they are on stand-by for the storm tonight. 

3:24 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a large truck double-parked on Main Street unloading into a pizza parlor. Truck is done.

3:25 p.m., South Street. Caller reported a trailer parked on South Street near West View Road that has been there all day. Police spoke with a contractor working on the house; he will move the trailer.

7:49 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Main Street at Brook Street. One wrecker needed.

7:54 p.m., North Meadows Road. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident near the Sherborn line. No wreckers needed.

8:38 p.m., High Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Route 27 at Forest Street. 

8:43 p.m., South Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident on South Street near Pound Street.

10:10 p.m., North Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident near the Hunt Club. Police said the man was stuck in the snow but got himself out.
