Police Log: Arrest for Revoked License, Car Accidents, Smashing Pumpkins

Here's a look at the Medfield safety log for Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.

Monday, Nov. 19

1:53 a.m., Longmeadow Road. Caller reports a car speeding up and down the road and it is now parked at the end of the road. Police did not find anyone in the vehicle.

8 a.m., Hartford Street and Main Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury. A wrecker was called.

10:27 a.m., Clayton Street. Police received a walk-in report of identity fraud.  

11:13 a.m., Dale Street. Caller reported there is a stranger ringing the doorbell at her home. Police discovered it was the landlord and informed the caller.

3:57 p.m., North Meadows Road. Caller reported a red chair in the middle of the road. Police moved it out of the roadway.

4:54 p.m., Flint Locke Lane. Alarm company reported alarms going off at a house in the neighborhood. Police reports the house is secured.

Tuesday, Nov. 20

5:32 a.m., Hartford Street. Caller reported a branch in the road. The branch was removed. 

7:19 a.m., South Street. Police helped with school crossing traffic. 

8:40 a.m., Hospital Road. Caller reported a train passed on Hospital Road and the crossing signals were not working. CSX was notified.

9 a.m., North Street. Detail police officer reported a strong smell of smoke in the area near Deerfield. Medfield Fire was notified.

11:17 a.m., Adams Street. Police arrested Jennifer Lee Brerik, 25, of Bellingham, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. 

2:19 p.m., South Street. Police helped with school crossing traffic. 

3:15 p.m., Tamarack Road. Caller reported her dog got ahold of a chicken and it is badly hurt. Animal Control was notified.

9:55 p.m., Granite Street and Henderson Way. Multiple reports of youths running around and ringing doorbells. Police did not find the kids but noted there were several smashed pumpkins on Granite Street.

11:27 p.m., Main Street. Multiple calls regarding a motor vehicle accident with personal injury. Medfield police and fire responded. Millis was called for mutual aid but canceled. Two wreckers were called for a Ford Fusion and a Dodge Nitro.
