Police Log: Escaped State Hospital Patient, Deer, Car Accidents, and Mom Not Answering Phone

Thursday, Nov. 8
6:52 a.m., Pine Street and North Street. Caller reported a disabled motor vehicle.
7:11 a.m., South Street. Police conducting traffic enforcement near high school.

7:17 a.m., Main Street. Police conducting traffic enforcement on Main Street.
1 p.m., Millis. Medfield Fire provided mutual aid to North Street in Millis.

1:02 p.m., Mt. Nebo tower. Police reported he is out at the Mt. Nebo tower for radio work.
2:12 p.m., Hospital Road. Traffic enforcement on Hospital Road.
4:20 p.m., Lowell Mason Road. Caller reported a wire down. Police discovered it was a cable wire. Comcast was notified.
Friday, Nov. 9
6:39 a.m., North Street. Caller reports they have no water. Water Dept notified.
9:26 a.m., West Street. Columbia Gas reported a smell of gas at a business on West Street. Technician could not find anything and asked Medfield Fire to assist.
10:46 a.m., Evergreen Way. Walk-in report of harassing phone calls. Police will call phone carrier.
10:50 a.m., Westwood. Caller said he is eastbound on Route 109 and just entered Dover and there is a car "all over the roadway." The license plate came back as revoked out of Medway. At 10:58 a.m., Westwood Police said they had pulled over the car in their center of town.
4 p.m., Philip Street. BOLO (be on look out) alert. The Department of Mental Health at Taunton State Hospital called to notify the town of a patient who walked away from the facility. That person's last address was on Philip Street in Medfield.
5:12 p.m., Main Street. Motor vehicle accident, property damage with no personal injury.
5:33 p.m., North Street. Walk-in report of a driver hitting a deer on North Street near School Street. The deer ran off into the woods.
5:57 p.m., North Street. Walk-in report from a man who just got into a car accident in front of the police station. One car was towed.
7 p.m., Wildwood Drive. Walk-in complaint about a contractor doing work for the homeowner. Police said it was a civil matter but said to call the police if he shows up and causes a problem.
8:45 p.m., Cottage Street. Police reported the bells and lights are going off at the Cottage Street railroad crossing. CSX enroute.
9:10 p.m., Tilden Village. A woman from Carver asked for a well-being check on her mother who is not answering her phone. Police discovered the woman had fallen; Medfield Fire transported her to Norwood Hospital.
