Police Log: An Arrest, Working Fire, Bird in High School

Here's a look at Medfield's safety log from Oct. 24 and Oct. 25.

Wednesday, Oct. 24

2:16 p.m., Philip Street. Caller said she locked her keys in her car. Police helped her get into her vehicle. 

3:55 p.m., North Street. Traffic enforcement. One citation issued.

5:17 p.m., Causeway Street. A walk-in report of suspicious activity in the area.

6:06 p.m., Nebo Street. Caller advised police he just had his driveway paved and will be parking on Rustic Lane.

6:16 p.m., North Street. Caller reported a large pot hole in the road. The highway department marked it off and will deal with it tomorrow.

11:17 p.m., West Street. Caller reported an animal in her basement. The Animal Control Officer was notified and she will call the resident.

Thursday, Oct. 25

7:11 a.m., Pound Street. Police helped with school crossing at Pound Street and Robert Sproul Road.

7:14 a.m., Hospital Road. Traffic enforcement. 

8:35 a.m., South Street. Police responded to a report of a bird in the high school.

9:21 a.m., Main Street. Walk-in report of a home phone not working. Police called Comcast who reported problems in the area.

10:44 a.m., Main Street. Police stopped a 1993 Mercury Marquis, and are seeking a summons for the arrest of the 61-year-old Westwood resident for a red light violation, operating after revocation of registration, and uninsured motor vehicle.

12:59 p.m., Grace Drive. Police spoke to a man who was going through a mailbox on the street.

2:17 p.m., Janes Avenue. The fire department responded to a working fire in the Montrose School parking lot where a shredder attached to a vehicle was on fire.
