“This appears to be an isolated incident but we wanted to make the community aware. The police department has informed us that they will be increasing patrols around the middle school and high school campuses. We also ask that parents remind their students to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to either the school personnel or police department.”

The individual was described as a white male, approximately six feet tall, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, according to Maguire.

Meaney said Maguire’s e-mail was sent out to inform the community and to hopefully gather more information from the incident.

“Part of the reason for the schools sending the e-mail was to see if anyone else had a similar incident that we could investigate,” Meaney said. “As of now, no other incidents have been reported.”
