Passing Car Throws Snowball and Is Identified, Convenient Sleeping Spot, Car Hits House

Here's a glance at Medfield's safety log for March 9 and March 10.

 

Saturday, March 9

8:24 a.m., Causeway Street. Caller reports a tree and pole down near Noon Hill Road. NSTAR, Verizon and Highway Department were contacted.

10:00 a.m., Main Street. DPW Superintendent reports the railroad lights are flashing and the gates are down but no train approaching. Fire Department tied up gates. Police handled traffic until CSX arrived.

11:17 a.m., Harding Street. Caller reported a harassing phone call. She will contact her carrier.

2:08 p.m., Main Street. A credit card was found at a store and was left at the police station. The owner picked it up at 4:30 p.m. 

3:29 p.m., Nebo Street. ADT reported a front door burglar alarm. Police discovered the front door was open, possible oversight by homeowner. Waited for homeowner and determined the house was in order. 

5:56 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church. 

11:42 p.m., Frairy Street. Caller reported a possible overdose. Medfield Ambulance took one person to Norwood Hospital.

Sunday, March 10

8:09 a.m., 6:55 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.

8:30 a.m., Main Street. Store manager reported damage to the back of the store and a stone wall which may have been done by a snowplow. 

8:44 a.m., North Meadows Road. Police out with a car with a flat tire which was soon repaired and the driver was on his way.

9:19 a.m., Main Street. Traffic control at the United Church of Christ.

9:43 a.m., Main Street. An employee reported a female party has been in the parking lot for over an hour and she has been sleeping on and off in the vehicle (2001 Chevy Malibu). Police said there was no problem and the woman was on her way.

3:45 p.m., Erik Road. Caller reported a car accident on Quarry Road at Minuteman. Cars were a 2010 BMW and a 2009 Infinity. Medfield Ambulance took one to Norwood Hospital. Building Inspector was called because the Infinity hit the BMW and a house which should be checked. 

6:51 p.m., Indian Hill Road. Caller said that while his wife was driving down Indian Hill Road, a passing car threw a snowball at her car. Caller gave police the license plate number that came back to a Jade Walk resident. Police spoke with the parent who will speak to the driver. 

8:04 p.m., Dwight and Causeway Streets. Caller reported two cars parked on Dwight Street. Police checked and said no problem.
