OUI Arrest, Head-On Collision, Suspicious Car, and More

Here's a look at the latest Medfield police log.

The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here is a look at the Medfield safety logs for Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.

Sunday, Nov. 19

6:05 a.m., West Street. Caller reported a low-hanging wire near 99 West Street. Police said it was the plastic coating that went around the fire alarm wire to 99 West Street; they removed it from the street.

7:47 a.m., Tubwreck Drive. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle (2007 Toyota Corolla) out of Winchendon. Police called the owner and spoke with the father who said his daughter was visiting someone in town but he didn't know who.

1:49 p.m., Pound Street. E911 caller from Tilden Village about a 95-year-old woman who was taken to Norwood Hospital. 

3:14 p.m., North Meadows Road (Route 27). Cell caller said the person in front of him is all over the road, heading toward Medfield from Sherborn on Route 27. Police sopped the car on Main Street near Causeway. Robert D. Tarabocchia, 52 of 811 Hilltop, Apt. 2, Walpole, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, and a marked lanes violation. Bail was set and the man's wife picked him up.

5:50 p.m., Spring Street. E911 caller reported a car accident on Route 27 involving a 2001 Mazda Protege and a 2012 Toyota Camry. 

Wednesday, Nov. 20

1:34 a.m., South Street. E911 caller said she needed an ambulance for her husband who is not breathing. He was taken to Norwood Hospital.

11:07 a.m., Fox Lane. E911 caller needed an ambulance for an elderly female. She was taken to the hospital.

11:37 a.m., Pound Street. Walk-in report of identity theft at Tilden Village. 

2:13 p.m., South Street. Report of gas odor in the area; Columbia Gas was notified.

8:49 p.m., South Street. E911 caller reports a head-on collision on South Street involving a 2005 Chevy Malibu and a 2010 Subaru Outback.
