Here's a look at the Medfield police log for Thursday and Friday.

Thursday, June 27

11:23 a.m., Pine Street. Police checked the Connecticut license plate of a white Hyundai. The car belonged to two men who work for a private company doing videotaping for NSTAR. 

11:38 a.m., Cottage Street. Caller asked police to check on two people who may have been fighting. No problem. 

12:42 p.m., Penobscot Street. Caller requested the animal control officer because she thought there was an animal in her trash barrel.

2:07 p.m., Green Street. E911 caller said she could not find her 11-year old son and his friend. At 2:11 p.m., she called back to say they were home. At 2:12 p.m., police spoke with the mother and the boys. 

3:05 p.m., North Meadows Road. Medfield Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of some sort of oil spill on the Charles River near the Sherborn line.

6:30 p.m., Cross Street. Walk-in report of mailbox damage. Homeowner said she had pieces of the car that hit it. Police investigated.

8:32 p.m., Kamark Drive. Caller reported a green Chevy pickup and a green two-door Honda Civic speeding up and down the street. Police found the cars with no one in them; he called the owners.

9:09 p.m., Colonial Road. E911 caller said she heard gun shots in the area. Police said it was all quiet.

10:13 p.m., Indian Hill Road. E911 caller said she heard sounds like a person screaming outside in the street, but it could have been an animal. Police didn't hear anything.

Friday, June 28

7:26 p.m., Foundry Street. Caller reported vandalism. Extra patrols requested.

7:51 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported a car accident in front of the library, followed by a verbal argument. Papers exchanged.

10:55 a.m., Orchard Street. Walk-in report of cars speeding.

1:46 p.m., Pound Street. Tilden Village requested assistance with an eviction notice. 

4:28 p.m., Nebo Street. Walk-in report of identity fraud. 

6:20 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a dispute over a bill at a convenience store. Matter resolved for now. 

6:55 p.m., Ice House Road. Caller reported a green truck parked in the business parking lot for some time. Gone on arrival. Police saw the vehicle coming out from the tracks on Hospital Hill. They spoke with the owner (a Pederzini Drive resident) and sent him on his way. 

7:42 p.m., Main Street. E911 caller reported a disturbance in the Shaw's plaza parking lot between drivers of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and a 2001 Dodge Ram truck (the driver of the truck threatened the owner of the car). All settled. 

7:54 p.m., Main Street. Walk-in report of a domestic problem. 

8:46 p.m., Nauset Street. Caller reported a snake in her basement. Animal Control was called but did not answer. 

9:26 p.m., Brook Street. E911 caller (Millis resident) reported an erratic driver (a Lowell Mason Road resident) driving too close and flashing the high beams. 

9:39 p.m., Hospital Road. Medfield State Hospital security guard requested extra patrols at night because there are kids parked on Longmeadow Road and on the property.
