Medfield Volunteers Give Blood

Donations of blood to the American Red Cross were steady Monday, in a drive organized by the Medfield Fire Department.
The chief organizer, Bill DeKing, said he arranges an annual community blood drive as a way of giving back to an organization that helped save his wife's life, after she needed multiple transfusions after giving birth eight years ago.
The couple's daughter, now 8, helped count the donors and handed out materials on Monday.
