UPDATED: Medfield Police Release Description of Car, Video of Missing Teen Leaving Library

Police reported Wednesday the man last seen with Brittany Thompson may be associated with a late-model blue or green minivan.

UPDATED 10:25 p.m.: Medfield and State Police asked the public to be on the lookout for an older model blue or green minivan, or SUV, with either Brittany Thompson or the heavyset white male shown in the video occupying it.

"It is believed that the suspect (Heavy set white male) is associated with this type of vehicle," police reported Wednesday night. "Special attention in the Medfield and South Eastern Massachusetts area.

Anyone coming in contact or observing anyone believed to be the suspect, is asked to contact the Massachusetts State Police immediately at 508-820-2121.  The Medfield Police and Massachusetts State Police are asking to be vigilant and report anything you think may be connected to either Brittany Thompson, or the white heavy set male seen with her last."

Medfield Police provided media with a video taken from surveillance cameras inside the library.

The girl shown leaving the library with him is Brittany Thompson, 17, of Medfield, who was reported missing by her parents two days ago, on Monday afternoon. Her parents said Wednesday she is developmentally younger than 17, and may not have realized the consequences of her actions.

Police say she may be in danger.
