Medfield Police Release Identity of Body Found Wednesday at Noon Hill

David P. McMahon, 45, of Walpole, was found dead Wednesday at approximately 9 p.m. in a "wooded area" of Medfield's Noon Hill Reservation.

On Friday, released the identity of the Walpole man found dead in a “wooded area” of the Noon Hill Reservation Wednesday night.

“The name of the deceased is David P. McMahon, 45 years of age and he lived in Walpole,” said Medfield Chief of Police Robert E. Meaney Jr. “I believe that Roberts-Mitchell will be handling the arrangements.”

According to Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home's website, McMahon, formerly of Medfield “was a beloved husband of Denise M. Luchette-McMahon and loving father of Amanda Nicole McMahon.”

Medfield Police found McMahon’s body after . The body was discovered at “approximately 9 p.m.” in a “wooded area” of Noon Hill, according to Meaney, who informed Medfield Patch Thursday morning of the incident.

Meaney said the cause of death is unknown at this time, but foul play has been ruled out.

"The Medical Examiner’s Office has not officially ruled on the death and may not for several weeks," Meaney said. "However, I can tell you that there were no signs of foul play and there is no ongoing criminal investigation by the District Attorney’s Office."
